We stayed on two separate nights. The first night the room was the largest we had ever had at this hotel, and was on the first floor. The second night later in the week, our room was tiny and at the top of four flights of stairs with no lift.

The desk staff were very friendly and efficient, making the stay very pleasant.

Very large room with balcony - excellent value for the price

We really liked the hotel and its staff. The breakfast is the best we've ever seen in a hotel - worldwide! The staff at the desk were helpful and charming. With the USD exchange the price was a bit steep compared to USA hotels, but we would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone who asks. This was an extremely comfortable room and nicely appointed. We especially liked the shower. The carpets in the room will need to be tended to soon. They are showing mold spots from the open windows. But other than this, the room was cozy and charming.

Good breakfast in pleasant room. Very accommodating and pleasant staff. small but comfortably furnished. Small but clean and modern bathroom. Can be a bit noisy late at night from outside partyers in the garden.

This was my first trip to London, so I can not compare this hotel and it's price with others, and therefore find out the real "value for money", but the reason I graded it poor is mainly the facts I stated in the above comment. The room I got was very, very small, but that didn't bother me much since I basicly used it only for sleep.

Wonderful breakfast! Perfect, nice bathroom for London.

The room was situated on the 3rd floor. No elevator and very narrow steps. The shower and the TV set in very bad condition.

One problem, my credit card was refused and it turned out to be problem of hotel system.

The dining staff was nice, breakfast was lovely, front desk polite if a bit unaccomodating--both when I queried my room rate as compared to that of my sister, and also... I wanted to pay my bill with my remaining travellers' checks (in pounds sterling) and was refused. How can a hotel not accept travellers' checks?? Our room was small but nice. However, I was upset to find out that my sister and her daughter were paying ten pounds less than I was per night, for a MUCH larger room. I understand she booked late and was given whatever was available, and it happened to be a larger room, but it did seem unfair for three of us to be put into a smaller room than two of them, and to be charged more. The size of our room did not constitute a "triple" in my eyes.

Front desk staff very friendly but dining room staff were close to being rude. Excellent breakfast with lots of variety in food. Room was very small and the bathroom in particular. There was barely enough room for one person in the shower.

The bed at room 18 made a lot of noise - NO I just slept there!

The staff was great and the breakfasts excellent!! The rooms on the third floor are very small.

Breakfast was great. Location great too. Staff helpful. Overall, very clean but bedspread needed to be replaced. It had stains and should be replaced.

This being my first time in London, I cannot adequately evaluate "value for money." The breakfast room was particularly nice, the food quite good, and the service personnel were unfailingly friendly. I have stayed at innumerable hotels in the U.S. but this was my first time in London. Generally, the Harlingford was quite adequate excepting the mattresses on the beds. Both my daughter and I remarked that at least in this room (#18) they sagged and were uncomfortable.

The room was fine; we had too much luggage.

Quite adequate, with a lovely view to boot.

we had a great time and found the hotel and service outstanding.
