The reception (ist) was a little off-putting, since we arrived too early (12 pm) to check-in, and the check-in time of 1pm was not mentioned on the Website.

The hotel was clean, with a nice sitting room, and breakfast room on the ground floor (ie light and airy). The breakfast staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was good.

The double room was tiny, and there was hardly any room for two people to walk around. The sheet was far too small for the (small) double bed so the blanket was too near the face so this probably was not very clean.

Nevertheless, the hotel was in a good location for the British Museum etc and can be recommended for a short stay.

We enjoyed our stay at the Harlingford very much and would recommend it to others. But there are some drawbacks. The top floor is up three flights of steep stairs (there is no lift), and the last flight is narrow and winding. The rooms are well appointed but small. But, on the other hand, the hotel makes an attractive alternative to the plastic standard hotel room we Americans are used to. The breakfasts were excellent, the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The location was very good--ideal for a scholar visiting the British Library (as I did).

Good experience

I found the staff helpful and friendly, and the breakfasts were excellent.

This hotel is very well located near Underground and train transport.

The hotel staff are helpful and the breakfasts were good.
Great smoked salmon and scramled eggs.
Th room was small and pocket like and the shower was a bit of a squeeze.(Most of London the same)Front lounge area of hotel nicley decorated with internet access for one pound.
Double bed could have been more comfortable.Plenty of places to eat nearby -Brunswick shopping centre had a great Grocery store, sushi,Italian Restuarants-lovely Spanish Hotel nearby -great food reasonable prices and friendly staff
Returned later with family-the booking we made online was wrong. We had amended the number of people and selected a quad room. When we arrived they had the amendment but it only referred to a triple room.Luckily we had our copy of the amendment.
All credit to the staff-they resolved the problem by giving us a triple plus a single room.It may have been difficult if they had no vacancies.
Might be useful to check with hotel by phone to verify online bookings amendments.

Great stay! The only thing I would really like is to communicate with the hotel directly. I would like to request an invoice e.g. of my last stay: Vergauwen, 2 nights arrival Sept. 14, departure Sept. 16.
Greetings to the Davies family,
Philip
