Overnight stay.

Recommendation:  by Nicholas Parker

Suitable for: Leisure, Couples

The hotel was clean & tidy, the staff were all very helpful. The room was classed as a small double but in reality we believe a single. The room was laid out with one glass, one cup & saucer etc. As we are both small we squeezed into the room ok. The hotel was well placed for stations & undergrounds.

Dirty Room Conditons

Recommendation:  by Domenico De Rosa

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Singles

The Staff was great, very courteous, and helpful. The breakfast service was also good. One of the problems about my room was its position at the third floor of the hotel (which wasn't mentioned on the website), without even a lift, so I had to personally carry my luggage up a steep rounded staircase. Also the hygiene conditions of the room were poor. The bed cover, including the bed frame were old and with stains in the material. I complained at the office, and the reply was that it was an old style bed. it wasn't just old style, it was actually OLD and needed to be replaced! I hope that these improvements can be applied to the service, but overall it was a pleasant stay.

Excellent breakfast and friendly staff

Recommendation:  by Margaret Kvandahl

Suitable for: Leisure, Romance, Families, Couples

The breakfast was excellent. The breakfast staff was very nice and the brekfast room was very cozy. The hotel is very near Russell square station and one can reach the airport very easily by taking the Picadilly line which goes straight to Heathrow. The hotel is situated in a quiet street. There is also a small shopping street nearby.

Little, nice Hotel

Recommendation:  by Christine THOMAS

Suitable for: Families

The hotel is in a convenient nice location. The hotel has a nice familar touch and nice, helpful staff. The breakfast is also good and enough. The only thing which wasn`t so nice in our room (Quad room) - was our shower. The water in the shower was not very strong and sometimes you thought you won`t get wet.
Nevertheless, we (parents and two children) would recomended this hotel to our friends.

Excellent!

Recommendation:  by Venessa Negron

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Romance, Singles, Couples

This was my first time staying here and I was so pleasantly surprised. From the outside, I was not sure what to expect, then I was told our room was on the basment floor and I began to worry, but there was no need at all! The room was beautifully clean and decorated with such fine taste. For a twin room in London, I would say it was large.
I have visited London serval times; some for business and some for pleasure and 90 percent of the time, the rooms are small, smelly and not very clean at all.
But the Harlingford Hotel exceeded all my pre concived notions of what a low cost hotel in London would be like.

I highly recommend this hotel. I plan to come back to it each time I need a place in London.

My friends and I were very happy with your hotel during our recent stay.
We had to rearrange the rooms to suitably accommodate between triples, doubles and single and your staff did this without any question and quite admirably.
The breakfast served was delicious and ample. The wait staff were friendly and courteous.
I will not hesitate to recommend the Harlingford to others visiting London.
Thankyou!

We chose the hotel because of its location - very close to the Eurostar - and were not disappointed. It was very clean and comfortable and the staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The staff in the breakfast room were particularly dedicated and very committed to serving us in a pleasant, friendly manner. They provided excellent and hearty fare. We would certainly consider booking the hotel again. Thank you.

I've stayed at the Harlingford three times and have always found it friendly and comfortable. The location is convenient and quiet, on a peaceful crescent. I've never been disappointed and have recommended it to friends.

The reception (ist) was a little off-putting, since we arrived too early (12 pm) to check-in, and the check-in time of 1pm was not mentioned on the Website.

The hotel was clean, with a nice sitting room, and breakfast room on the ground floor (ie light and airy). The breakfast staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast was good.

The double room was tiny, and there was hardly any room for two people to walk around. The sheet was far too small for the (small) double bed so the blanket was too near the face so this probably was not very clean.

Nevertheless, the hotel was in a good location for the British Museum etc and can be recommended for a short stay.

Townhouse Hotel

Recommendation:  by Charles Knight

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Romance, Families, Singles, Couples

We enjoyed our stay at the Harlingford very much and would recommend it to others. But there are some drawbacks. The top floor is up three flights of steep stairs (there is no lift), and the last flight is narrow and winding. The rooms are well appointed but small. But, on the other hand, the hotel makes an attractive alternative to the plastic standard hotel room we Americans are used to. The breakfasts were excellent, the staff was genuinely friendly and helpful. The location was very good--ideal for a scholar visiting the British Library (as I did).

Bloomsbury Bed

Recommendation:  by Phil Jackson

Suitable for: Business

The hotel staff are helpful and the breakfasts were good.
Great smoked salmon and scramled eggs.
Th room was small and pocket like and the shower was a bit of a squeeze.(Most of London the same)Front lounge area of hotel nicley decorated with internet access for one pound.
Double bed could have been more comfortable.Plenty of places to eat nearby -Brunswick shopping centre had a great Grocery store, sushi,Italian Restuarants-lovely Spanish Hotel nearby -great food reasonable prices and friendly staff
Returned later with family-the booking we made online was wrong. We had amended the number of people and selected a quad room. When we arrived they had the amendment but it only referred to a triple room.Luckily we had our copy of the amendment.
All credit to the staff-they resolved the problem by giving us a triple plus a single room.It may have been difficult if they had no vacancies.
Might be useful to check with hotel by phone to verify online bookings amendments.

Great stay! The only thing I would really like is to communicate with the hotel directly. I would like to request an invoice e.g. of my last stay: Vergauwen, 2 nights arrival Sept. 14, departure Sept. 16.
Greetings to the Davies family,
Philip

Pleasant and VFM

Recommendation:  by Andrew Middleton

This is an easy walk from Kings Cross, Eustonn, etc and well positioned for the West End if you like a little exercise. A great location in all respects - the only criticism is that the traffic in central London can be pretty noisey round here.

The location is very good at least for the purposes of my stay. The room I stayed however, was very small and I wondered whether there were any standards for room size in the hotel regulations in London. The existence of a lobby with nice decoration and the ambiance of the breakfast room were the good things.

The hotel is in a great location. However, to get a decent size room is quite expensive. I find the singles far too confining and so opted for a larger room that slept 3 just to have enough space to be comfortable.
Breakfast was good, but I felt very rushed by the servers.
Finally, on my second day there I left my key with the staff when I went out. They misplaced it, but throughout my stay continued to ask me where it was and remark about how I had lost it. I didn't appreciate that at all.
