Walking distance to jonker street.. room is a bit small but clean and comfortable.. tho breakfast is provided but better try the breakfast outside... very helpful staff..

This is my 2nd time staying in this hotel. Location is convenient and walking distance to famous Jonker Walk. Just next to the hotel you can have good food and the price are affordable. Only setback is there is only 1 lift in the hotel. And this time the lift was under service and we had to wlk up to the guest room on the third floor.

Halmark Hotel is located 80M from Jonker Street where the night market (Fri, Sat and Subday) and some good food (chicken rice, western cum Pub, noodles and chendol at the chicken rice shop). Also place of interest like: Admiral Cheng Ho museum, Peranakan Heritage House, old Chinese Temples Left of hotel is a good Nyona (peranakan) food restaurant. To the right are 3 chinese outdoor restaurants. Near Red Square where all the British and Portugal ruins are located. Hotel just upgarded. Reasonably nice bathroom, however the floor gradient is slightly wrong (a small patch of water cannot be drained away). Not a problem, just a small patch. Spend most time outside sightseeing, so Hotel ambient is not a problem. Just need a comfy room to sleep. Comes with LCD panel TV and Astro. Air-con is cold if you take out the filters and clean them, an easy 3 minutes job. Else ice will form at the air-con grill (radiator) thus blocking air from going thru' the grill to carry the cold air to the blower to blow out into the room. Breastfast is OK-lah. Local mee, kuey Teow, cakes, bread, tea and good coffee.

We have stayed at this hotel for many years now, even when it was known by its previous name. As usual, at our most recent stay, the service was friendly. The hotel is now listed on the internet, so one might want to book early, especially on weekends. We love staying at Hallmark for its location. It is close to our favourite tim-sum stall and Tong Hup, and also within walking distance to Jonker. We had recommended many friends and would like to recommend others looking for budget stay in Malacca

I really was impressed with this Hotel, we had two rooms for one night, the location is second to none and the value for money the same, I would recomend this Hotel to friends and would definately stay here again next trip to Mallaca

A great, clean, budget hotel within walking distance of Jonker Street & even A'Famosa. We'll always stay here when wanting to see the old city of Melacca.

For the money that I’m paid (less then RM100 per night), I was expected a very small room. But the deluxe room that I’m staying was spacious and clean. The bed is very comfortable for my standard.The bedding and towels were clean and there were free amenities in the bathroom. A 19 inch LCD offering good choice of local and international channels. Toilet is big and what surprise me was, there is a toilet bowl with cleaning jet!!! Shower is good with manual water heater. Free wifi is provided with acceptable speed. The noise coming through the walls from the next room was disturbing but bearable. Coffee facilities in room and free drinking water available on each floor as they provide water dispenser for hot and cold water. Breakfast is served buffet style with choices of fried rice or noodles,sausages,local kueh and toast.The location is convenient and it takes about 15 minutes walking to heritage sites and attractions. Shell petrol kiosk & 7 eleven is at the left hand side of the hotel.All in all, the location and price makes this the best place to stay for a trip to Melaka.

The hotel is conveniently located at the main attractions of Malacca. The counter staff were courteous & helpful however, the maintenance of the room can be improved as there was dust on the shelves, television set, etc as well as some cobwebs in the corners of the room & certain parts of the window curtain. The fried meehoon for the breakfast was quite nice. Overall, it's still considered a value for money.

I quite like the hotel because it is very convenient to my places of interest. The cafe staff are very stucked up especially the coconut man when we request for replenish of food they showed us their papaya faces and is very tarnishing to your hotel image but overall I will still highly recommend my friends and clients to this hotel.

It was my first visit to the historic city of Malacca after the cancellation trip to Bangkok.
Once arrived,a dishonest taxi driver told us that the Hallmark hotel is located at non-strategic area stating the historic locations were far.He even asked me to cancel my reservation.We just ignored his request and opinion and continued our desire to stay at this hotel.
However,upon arriving the hotel we were happy to see the hotel is such decorated and very nice looking.The surrounding area is quite calm and peaceful.Also,the hotel staffs were friendly and even told us that the historic places were just walking distance.
Let me describe about the room.Upon entering it,we were surprised that the room is spacious enough and the bathroom is tip-top.The amneties provided are complete,which really made my fiancee to feel happy.Overall,I will give 5 out of 5 for the room.
On the hotel's restaurant,we were happy that the food we ordered was delicious.Both of us love Chinese cuisine very much and it is very worth to eat there.The food price is reasonable,and to our surprise that they also provide card game like UNO and deck cards,Jenga and board games.It is very interesting and so much fun!
If given the chance,I would certainly love to stay at Hallmark hotel.It is worth of the money and I really suggest people to stay at this hotel.Kudos to Hallmark!!Keep up the good job.

The hotel is in a convenient location.

Counter staff were polite and efficient and checkin was a breeze.
Hotel location is excellent close to nearby attractions like Jonker's Walk.
Room charges were good value for money.
Hotel rooms were clean and tidy.
Parking was insufficient esp on the weekend.
On the whole a very satisfying experience.

I found out Hallmark Hotel is a value for money when it comes to lodging. Its very reasonable as it is located in the middle of Melaka town and a lot of interesting places is just a walk away from the hotel. Although..it is quite difficult to locate the hotel..but again..its worthy.

I would admit that I had wonderful experience in Hallmark hotel. The hotel located nearby to jonker street whereby we just check in and walk all day long...we did not use our car for the two days... good exercise and less traffic problem. If I stay somewhere else I have to drive out for every single journey... this place is so strategic for shopping (hehehe girls will love the jonker street items) and also for food...we basically back to hotel just to have nice rest and sleep.
The room was clean and well maintain... and the reception staff were friendly and guided us with short cuts to walk around.. it was really wonderful stay at Hallmark..
I went with my hubby for a romatic trip and now planning again with family and friends soon.
Hope they will maintain well..
Room for improvement would be the breakfast for free, as not much options but nevertheles some of the hotel don't even provide this options and they do offer free newspaper daily...
it was really cool to stay at Hallmark... we had great night there... the car was at safety parking lot just in front of the hotel...I would recommend those need a great holiday to Melaka at affortable price... pls stay at Hallmark.. no regrets... good choice.
