There are only two things that I can think of that may be of help.

The first is the shower. There is lots of room and wonderful warm water pressure, but it drains so slowly that it floods the bathroom floor.

The second is that my son and I tried walking from the tank museum back to the hotel. It's a nice enough walk, but very dangerous due to the hedges growing so close to the road for long stretches. It would be the same for the train station nearby. Any chance of a "hotel auto" for quick trips for guests? The taxis were always available and on time, so I can't complain too much.

My son and I both commented that of all the hotels we stayed in on our trip, your "country house" was by far the best. I also wouldn't mind being pen pals with the blonde haired, blue eyed gal running that place. (Very cute :) ).

If you are looking for a hotel in walking distance to a lot of sights in London, than Guildford House is perfect. There are also some nice local pubs in the area.
Staff are multi-cultural and very friendly. And the shower is hot and very powerful, something you don't always find in English hotels.
Just don't expect a full English breakfast, they only do the continental buffet.
We will use the hotel again.

the last day our breakfast was very poor because there was no jam or marmalade available for the guests!!!!it was only 8.30a.m.!!! the beds were not very comfortable, they creaked while sleeping; we couldn't make our tea or coffee in the room
