Dining room food was expensive and not as good as wed hoped.

Downside of this hotel is that only one set of lifts servicing the whole hotel.

Initial room was in rear building with no lift access. On complaint Hotel upgraded at a minor cost. Interior room with poor natural light and insufficient artificial light.

Perhaps overrated at four stars, but quite comfortable and convenient.

These remarks were left with recption on leaving. We accept that we reserved budget accommodation,

Breakfast very insipid, staff quite helpful when it came to attractions etc. Slightly disappointing as we were in an internal facing room that only overlooked an open air shute, and the drainpipe dripped VERY loudly outside the window and onto a galvanised metal roof- asked to be moved but apparently no other rooms available

Better reading lights would be nice, e.g., over the desk, next to the chair.

Even though we were in a non-smoking wing, some smoking in the hallway drifted into our room.

Maid service did not wash a dirty wine glass, not left by us, for three days. Everything else was fine.

The staff was extremely polite and helpful.

On reservation I was advised that a company cheque would be acceptable. On arrival this was not the case. On arrival I also found the service received at reception as no very friendly and rather ordinary.

Basic with below average facilities at average price First room was very basic and noisy (adjacent night club and ventilation grill in door admitted corridor noise). However management moved without argument after 2 nights

Strongly do not recommend staying in this hotel. When I spoke to a collegue based in Adelaide and said I was staying a substandard hotel she guessed straight away that I was staying in the Grosvenor. Comments refer to room only as I did not use the facilities. The room was tiny with bad neon lighting in a noisy corridor. I could hear all sorts of goings on in my room and was woken by at least four other alarms prior to mine due to the paper thin walls.

There is no tissue box.

some rather rowdy guests on Friday night in my wing but I understand the young fellows were having a good time in town. tv program poor. could do with satellite tv adjunction.
