We had stayed at Blooms Hotel on three prior occasions for 9 to 10 days each visit, but that was several years ago. We appreciated the ambience and were pleased with the location. During our stay in June 2009, we were impressed favorably by the service provided by the staff. We were disappointed in the condition of the room, not that it was dirty, but rather because it is showing its age. Lastly, the restaurant at Blooms is available for breakfast (at an exorbitant price) and for room service, but you can no longer eat dinner at Blooms. Instead, you must go to Blooms' nearby sister hotel. Had we not stayed at Blooms in past years, we might not have been so critical in our current assessment of the hotel. However, we know what Blooms had been and were saddened to note its deterioration.
