This hotel was clean and quiet in a busy city. The staff were helpful, assisting with taxis and airport transfers. The lobby is very welcoming and spacious. The room was clean and neat and did not smell of smoke. The mattress was hard but it actually gave me a good nights sleep. The room was decent size and would be ok for a couple (I am a single female Australian traveller). It was nice to have a bath to soak in after a long day sightseeing. There is not much in the way of convenience shops or restaurants close by but you can walk about 700m to a little group of shops. It is about 45 minutes to the airport at 6am, or about 70 minutes during the day. I did not eat a meal at the hotel so cannot comment on food. It was about 1500m walk to Tianamen Square, Forbidden City, etc, so only a 5 minute taxi ride to these sights. Ask the concierge to write the address in Mandarin to give to the driver, and take a hotel business card to hand the driver for the return journey. I would stay here again.

We had a wonderful few days at this hotel. A fruit basket was provided on our first day. I was amazed to be brought a birthday cake on my birthday, this was the second day of our stay. On the third day we attended the happy hour, where we were provided with finger food and spirits and mixers free. The staff were extemely efficient and always willing and able to attend to our every need. The hotel became our haven away from the hustle of bustle of the amazing city of Beijing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thanks to the management and staff of this wonderful hotel.
