the hotel is in a very convenient location, near bus lanes and train, also near shopping district and orchard road

the f/o staff was hlpful, we check in early bt gt room late, we hd to wait, 1 dec 2009. hskeeping staff was to bz or outnumbered by their task. the lobby seafd restaurnt ws nt that gd n over priced. our room was ok, room facilities, esp toilet needs to be uprgreded. carpet smelly. cnt complaint abt the location, esy to find local food n entrtaiment. lobby facilities needs to be upgraded. tq

The staff in This hotel is extremely helpful and courteous. The rooms are normal with basic amenities nonetheless is good for business travellers.

The price you pay is considered as average and you definately won't be bored staying here.

There are alot of entertainment around the hotel, ranging from shopping malls, karaokes', pubs, bars, restorants, cinemas and event massage palors!..

If you are looking for a beach view, then this would be the wrong hotel for you; but if you are just looking for an affordable room in the busy city to stay while you attend meetings, then this is a good place to make do.

the staff were very unhelpful and unfriendly on check in and out. book directly online with hotel and save half the price. breakfast was not included when you can get a lot more for a lot less in other hotels.

With the rate that is offered and compared to the other hotels at the neighbourhood, Grand Central offers you a pretty good deal.
The room is clean, the staff is actually helpful, and the location is great. Walking distance to Orchard Road and MRT make your stay more convinient over there.
Dont expect for something fancy as if you are staying in a resort hotel, but a shopping trip or business, this is definitely a place worth considering.

Room was filthy with smell shirt on ground when we arrived.

It was noisy it smelled bad and air con didnt work.

The service we received was appalling. Our luggage was put in the foyer and nobody bothered to take it to the room.

When we left, we told told to bring our luggage ourselves. Staff seemed to have an indifferent attitude towards guests.

I was very surprise by the standard of this Hotel and the extremely poor service they gave to me and my family.

I would not definitely recommend this Hotel.

receptionist arent as friendly as in other countries, guards dont even open the door for guests

there is no toothbrush, or toothpaste that i can remember!this sometimes are forgotten by guests! the room is cool when i arrived which is good!!

Even though I emailed and then called and then visited the front desk of the hotel 3 times to confirm that I would get a NON-smoking room, I was given a smoking room. Front desk staff promised to change to another room, but did not do that until the last day we stayed there. Customer service was not good and friendly. I don't think I would recommend this hotel to any friends and of course will not choose this hotel again.

Tv in bedroom would be good

The reservation for the room was supposed to be 180+ in Singaporean currency. I was charged $250, $50 as deposit.

Overall it's a good hotel, with a very good customer serveices, i like staying here because it's at orchard road with a reasonable room rates. The room is fine for me, after a tiring day i can relax with a hot shower, with a good environment. If could increase the channel of tv, i think it'll be better.

location would be its best asset. however, i think this is the factor that the hotel is exploiting that is why it is charging a rate that is not commensurate to the quality of the hotel. i have stayed in all types of hotels in singapore: from low-end oxford hotel to crown prince to high end marina mandarin but this is the only hotel that i believe is not cost effecient and does not give you value for money the bathroom is very bad. very poor maitenance and very unsightly specially the bath tub. if they can't maintain the bathtub, suggest they just remove it. lots of blue stains. the carpet is very dirty and is smelly with lots of stains. the television has no cable so i was left with nothing but blank stations and stations that dont use the english language

Offirical charge: the reservation confirmation gave the rate as SGD 110.00 x 1 night(s) = SGD 110.00 but the Official Receipt and Mastercard charge shows "$110" which can give the impression that it is in USD.

The Shower in the bathroom was of very poor standard and needs to be renewed

Bathroom needs renovation, but was OK for our needs.
