1 to 6 The Goring Hotel London Reviews

Elegant, charming, warm, welcoming

Recommendation:  by Sir Hans & Lady Kornberg

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Romance, Couples

The Goring is a lovely hotel; we've been staying there for years, and always enjoy it. There were one or two small problems this year, but the staff put them right so quickly that they are not even worth mentioning. It HAS become somewhat expensive, though, especially in the restaurant; 20+ pounds was really a bit much for a bowl of porridge, coffee and some fruit at breakfast. The food and service, however, could not have been bettered.

Met and/or Exceeded Expectations

Recommendation:  by Leo Van Reet

Suitable for: Business, Leisure, Romance, Singles, Couples

The hotel met my expectations in most areas and exceeded them in some areas. It is not inexpensive. It is designed for the discriminating travelor who demands life on the finer side. I think most parents of small children would find it a little too formal unless they totally don't care about any scene the kids may make. Certainly children who know how to mind their manners would find it very nice.

The hotel is extremely convenient as far as location, being only a 2 minute walk from Victoria Station and about 5 minutes from Buckingham Palace.

The staff is very attentive and formal, which we quite enjoyed.

The restaurant is very good, and formal - I wish we had brought more formal attire - felt a little out-of-place at times. The bar is good, and the back patio is a restful and peaceful place for a drink or tea.

Loved our trip to England and our stay at the Goring.

expensive - yet lovely. I would very much have enjoyed a coffee / tea pot in the room - especially traveling from the USA -- & time zones.. I would have enjoyed a beverage in the privacy of my room - without having to order room service / or go down stairs.

The Goring is a top luxury class hotel. It is worth the money if you have it, if you are willing to splurge for special occasion. We had a wonderful special anniversary trip.
