We were received by a woman and her furious screaming son. When we smiled at him and wanted to brighten his day a little bit, sitting there in the heat,tied up in his trolley, she brusquely told us to 'be with her', not pay any attention to the little boy. That was the start! We were then told to leave our suitcases outside a closed room and don't come back before after 2 p.m. our room will NOT be ready earlier. It was an unpleasant experience and every time we had to talk to her, she behaved the same way. Smiling to guests wasn't on her agenda to put it that way. We also met to other persons working there. They were helpful and service minded, they even smiled ;) We got a room on the top, with an 'endless' narrow and small staircase. It was not easy to carry our luggage, there weren't any porter of course. I've never seen such a small bathroom! We woundered if you have chlorine in the UK, it would have made a major change to the toilet, it was almost black :( A very tiny breakfast room, guests had to line up to get some food. We bought our breakfast another place. I made the reservation because the hotel I use to stay in was fully booked. All the other hotels I knew in the neighborhood were fully booked as well so I ended up at Glendales for the first and last time...

It was excellent, that we could be 5 adults in the same room!

They got re booked my room prior to arrival and when I had dealings regarding an extra nigght prior to my arrival they were less than helpful. Cant tell you aboout the room but the service was unacceptable Never got as far as the room

When checking in and after paying in advance was told that there was a slight problem. They had no room for me and they arranged for me to move to another hotel a couple of doors down the road but had to come back to this hotel for breakfast. Breakfast was in the hotel reception area and very basic The room was okay but very small

Location, Location, Location. Just a pleasant, safe stroll to Paddington Station, so the Tube and Heathrow Express are very handy. You can be at Heathrow or downtown within half an hour of leaving your room. Our bathroom was comically small - sit on the john to brush your teeth! - but everything was clean and functioning. Breakfast is basic but it will get you going. They'll store your luggage during the day. If you just need a clean place to sleep and aren't fussy about amenities or elbow room, this is a good economical choice. I'd stay there again. Our room was small but clean with acceptable beds. With British B&B's you have to expect old doors that don't close just right,funky decor, and narrow steep stairs, and this place is no exception. Laugh it off and enjoy the value of a clean room for three adults at 55 GBP.

The hotel charges me 3% for using the credit card!! I am upset by this practice. There are hardly any space to walk in this triple room! The toilet is really so small that there is no standing room when washing face/brushing teeth at the wash basin.Shower room is not clean

Very poor English language skills on front desk. Bedding did not appear clean(bedspreads)Good location but a little pricey overall.
