Had a Christmas buffet in the evening which was the worst meal we had in new Zealand. No lunch was provided as this was a staff meal- priority of staff over guests, amazing! Had booked in the restaurant for the boxing day evening but cancelled and ate somewhere else. I was obviously not the only one as the reception had the cheek to ask where we were eating! The most expensive room we stayed in during the 3.5 weeks of our holiday and the only room NOT to have ANY space to hang clothes. Very poor indeed for a hotel.

good location and great jumping off point for numerous activities and attractions clean and comfortable but no views from room

We stayed at several locations throughout NZ, this was the most expensive overnight stays of our trip and was by far the worst room. The saving grace for us was that we only stayed one night!! The only redeeming feature was the FANTASTIC location!! The room was located in a wing of the hotel, more like a motel. Access to the room was along a corridor which was poorly lit, unclean and foul smelling. The room itself was basic and certainly not worth the cost per night.

A little bit overpriced for the quality of the room and facilities, but probably one of the nicer hotels in the town. The hotel was very well located in a really, really small town. Room could use some upgrades and refurbishment.
