Ideal location for access to Fox Glacier and surrounding restaurants etc, slight disappointment that as we were not part of an organised coach trip had to have breakfast in the bar area rather than the restaurant area, however, hotel itslef was comfortable and reception staff excellent, would definitely recommend and use again if ever fortunate to be in New Zealand in the future.

A little old and pricey.

The hotel was very well situated for holiday-makers wishing to spend some time at Fox Glacier. The room was comfortable and provided the necessary requirements.

Compared to all my other accomodations in New Zealand this was the worst AND one of the most expensive. If the cost had been around $85 NZD I would have accepted it, but at $147 NZD a night, it was far below the quality of other places we stayed for $85. They should renovate for their prices! We did not eat in their dining area. It was not a motel that we wanted to spend more time in than we had to. The room smelled of mildew. All features of the room were rather rundown. No counter space in the bathroom. Walls were thin. In the middle of the night my husband opened the entry door to check on an alarm that went off. The door lock stuck and so the door would not close all the way. We propped a suitcase against it for the rest of the night.

Parking space outside room taken up by small bus. That was OK but then car was parked in by touring bus which couldnt be moved until air built up in bus. Delayed departure.

Very litle privacy without drawing all the curtains.

Generally bed in all motels are in bed condition. Someone should make a rotation of them in order to have same utilization.(Besides de poor quality of springs!)

Breakfast buffet and waitress service was excellent. Front desk and maid very friendly and helpful.
