The hotel was lovely and quaint and had a certain old world charm about it. The reception staff were very courteous and helpful, and we even got an upgrade of our room to a suite! Although the room was upgraded, we had to sacrifice our king size bed we originally requested for and took a queen instead for the upgrade. Anyway, we were soon bowled over by an excellent high floor view, quiet room, and golly, the toiletries were from Aveda! Felt like I was in a spa when showering. One drawback was the water pressure of the shower - could be more powerful. Another quaint feature of the room- the sink was in the room and not the bathroom. Not sure if that is a drawback or not, but might be awkward for people rooming together. There is air-conditioning/heating, free wi-fi access and a good mini-bar, and the hotel is within walking distance to shopping district and downtown area.
