We stayed in this hotel a few times before . Its great in being what is expected of a 5*hotel plus a little extra. Staffs are very courteous, concierge guy noted that I had a child with me and even when I declined the free icecream upon arrival ,he looked at the child (2 yrs old)and ask him if he wants ice cream....Then i realise even a two year old is considered a GUEST and pampered as any paying guest! For executive rooms there is a different checkin counter with the staff at that counter acting as (semi)butler as well... Location wise its perfect for families,plenty of food outlets and a big mall with cineplex etc next door and attach to the hotel. The housekeeping staffs perform their duties without they themselves being seen chatting or pushing their cart/trolley in the corridoors..quick,quiet,efficient. The pamplets in the room are imformative and up to date.All beddings and towels fresh and new.Minibar contends are complimentary All in all its very relaxing stay. The very spacious lobby in muted , earth tone colours and soothing music just make you feel relax the moment you walk into the premise...and the mall next door provides whatever activites and noise to those seeking it.As usual the are excursions to touristic places in Penang and tours can be arranged. If i have to add a negative point its the swimming pool..children pool is very basic and the swiming pool water is cold(maybe because its in between buildings).While on the map this hotel lies on the beach(beach front) there is a busy 4 lane street seperating it from the beach/waterfront ,and at times the sea water recedes leaving you the muddy sea floor to view from your room.There are no sea/water sports nor sandy beach to stroll on. Checking out was as quick as checking in even at peak times. I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing ,enjoyable stay and a little pampering and great shopping.
