Dirty room, they gave us another room and it was cleaner. 10 minutes walking from subway and another 10 minutes to the city center. The hotel is located on a strange place, like a red light neighbourhood. A lot of prostitutes on the street. But we felt safe hall the time.

Considering its price, it's reasonable and acceptable.

The hotel is near to MRT station and bus stops. The room is very clean, small but comfortable with basic amenities provided. Staff at the reception are very helpful and courteous.

Fragranc Hotel Singapore is about 4 train stops from the city centre and just a few minutes walk from the train. The rooms are small but clean, and the staff swapped my room when I requested. Their business card had a helpful map on the back and the area is vibrant with lots of food courts around. I felt very safe walking to and from the train station. We were just there to sleep so didn't want or require any facilities, so the value for money was outstanding.

We took advantage of cheap fares from Gold Coast - had a great time on our first visit to Asia. Hotel very handy to Monorail which is a great and inexpensive way to get around. Found hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Azmi changed our room so we could take advantage of magnificent city view. Subra made special omelettes for us to suit our western taste and treated us with other things not generally available at breakfast. Recommend breakfast in the Cafe - inexpensive and sets you up well for the day. Excellent (and fast ) internet included in our room deal. Have never stayed in Hilton and possibly may not be same standard, but for average people on a budget, doubt that it could be beaten. Found the experience truely satisfying and value for money. The liason guide from the pick up service ensured everything in place from checking in to getting a meal, suggestions for night and day activities.

Dear Reader, My Wife & I just stayed in the Fragance Pearl in Geylang. We choose it from the internet as it suited our budget for a quick 1 night stay over whilst in Transit to Australia. On the way from the airport to the hotel the taxi driver advised us of what the area apparently was. We found it to be totally different & very good & not what the taxi driver had told us. (I must stay the taxi driver was good & only trying to be helpful) The taxi driver (a different one) taking us BACK to the airport in the morning informed us it had been cleaned up about 5 months earlier & not as previuosly advised. It is a very good safe area. Good food & excellent shopping value. The Hotel staff where excellent & friendly. The room was GREAT (& very clean) for what we paid. We have absolutely no complaints whatsoever. The only one thing we could probably suggest is a Towel or Floor Mat (Towels are provided) from when stepping out of the wet shower for safety reasons, otherwise, PERFECT. (Unless the cleaners perhaps just this one time forgot to leave a Floor Mat) We will stay there again at the Pearl & plan on doing so. In fact now that we know how beauty Singapore is & how great the Fragance Peral was & value for money, we are planning on returnnning & staying for a week to look around more. The ambience is a Chinese local and it's fun to watch. The way to the nearest MRT station Arjunit is a bit far with heavy luggage. Taxi will not stop only for a short ride. Staff is friendly and efficient. The room is clean and good enough for a single person to stay one night or two. Good value for money comparing with other hotel rates.

i liked this hotel , i thought the area was very close to everything , and found it very easy to get into town from there either by bus or train , the area also has a nice feel to it , and some good cheap places to eat around it . the only thing i didnt really like was that the sheets kept sliding of the bed , i think because the base was vinyl. so that made it a bit uncomfortable , . besides that i think the hotel was good value for money and i would stay there again

First time in Singapore... city can be very expensive for a backpacker!!! great value here for the money really!! the only two things are: - it is located in the red light district (might not be suitable for families that do not want to explain that sort of things to their children!!) and - it is not at all downtown... altough Singapore is not big, so not such a biggie aftr all (you just have to take the train to go downtown ( be advised that the taxis charge 50% more after midnight and something like 35% more on rush hour!!! so stick to the train ...) there is a fragrance hotel backpacker dowtown but I don"t know more about it
And take the train FROM the airport... a lot cheaper (2.60$) than the 9$ by airport bus. (exit at Ajulied station and ask your way... very easy!)

It will be a good choice for people who do want to save money and enjoy in a noisy night-life.

Stayed here for a week and will do so again. the hotel staff were helpful, room was cleaned everyday and sheets changed. Nice window room on the 6th floor.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel for anyone wanting an inexpensive and comfortable stay in Singapore.

When i stay at pearl, i choose the smooking room.
i love the airy place for my room, unfortunelly the hotel was permanent lock for the windows. And the hotel do not available for breakfash.
for the other think i fell enough.
