staff were very courteous. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable and the room service staf are beyond excellent and courteous.

The only slight problem is that the hotel is a little far away from the main attractions in Singapore. Also the restaurants around the hotel area are not really inviting to foreigners. We had to go into the city for a good meal. However, those matyters would not prevent us from staying there again as there is an excellent and cheap transport system to get to and from places.

It was an EXCELLENT experiences staying in Fragrance Hotel Emerald Singapore. Our accommodation was only three days and planned to transfer into another hotel for a change but with the nice hotel ambiance and its facilities, of course with the nice and accommodating staff,so we decided to extend our stay for another three days.

In my next visit, hopefully early next year 2010, Surely, Fragrance Hotel Emerald would be my choice to stay with.

CONGRATULATIONS..... MORE POWER TO THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF.

May I suggest that the management should facilitate travel outside Singapore, like Singapore to Mallaca, Singapore to Kuala Lumpur, and Hotel's capability of car to transit guest from hotel to airport.

Room was small but for a traveller on a buget this provides good value for money since the room was very clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. Also, the hotel is very near the MRT and quite peaceful, except for the construction in front of the hotel, so there should be no problem communting to and from hotel.

Not a bad location.. about 12-15 minute walk from the local MRT train station. Also buses galore very close proximity to hotel...
Certainly a decent night spot. Plenty of food places around (too many actually to chose from). Small grocery stores stay open till late, so don't worry if you forgot to do your small shopping for something to eat etc...
The hotel's area is "buzzing" with life till amazingly around 2-3 in the morning hours. A must -especially-for singles to see what local Singapore has to offer.
Walk up & down the main strip, see plenty of people simply living the every day in the Gaylang area.
Hotel: room was decent (can't expect too much for the price). Has all required ameneties, great customer service, rooms are re-vamped every day with clean sheets etc (where necessary), towels & general tidy up.
All in all, certainly recommended place to stay as long as you can walk to train/bus (short stroll).
The price you pay possibly receives a bit more value than you pay for. So...
Yes ! Consider giving it a shot, I did !! ...twice now !!!
