An efficient and well run hotel with courteous staff.

Outdoor dining on the deck was a bonus.

All personnel were pleasant and helpful. Location enabled us to walk to the center and location to the airport was convenient. On site breakfast was O.K. and dining area was pleasant. Area seemed "safe" Shower in our first room was not separate from the toilet/wash basin; Second room was adjacent to the street and somewhat noisy.

the hotel was good but we had a problem on the last night we had a meal in the restaurant (steak) which was burnt by the time we got the attention off one of the young girls it was to late to complain apart from that we had a great stay The room was clean and tidy and was sufficent for what we needed

All of the receptionists were extremely helpful and personable. They took time out to explain the different tours and booked the ones we decided on, as well as taxis or any other service we needed. We really appreciated the service they provided!!

Ive stayed in a lot of hotels worldwide for $100.00 a night but Figtree comes across like a $59.00 a night motel. HOWEVER, I will say that the lagoon pool is an excellent amenity (clean, large, ambient) and that the staff tried very hard to makes us happy, especially Michelyn who gave us 110% of her time and attention. She was most helpful and most gracious. Seemingly you spend more on your staff than you do on your comforters, mattresses and drapes. We were in Room #1...right on the main street nand sidewalk. The locks on the front door and the sliding glass door are inadequate and did not give a feeling of security, especially when travelling with a young child; poor television channel selections; shower is poorly designed with no place to put soap. shampoo, etc.; there were ants in the bathroom; the decor needs updating from the early 1980s; felt like a very cheap MOTEL room, not a hotel room.

Staff at counter did not wait for us at the airport. We finally had to take the cab...

helpful staff, good restaurant inhouse, on town bus route only an over night stop so the roomm was very suitable for that

Meal service was excellent all our expectations were met. Would recommend your accomodation to anyone travellling to Cairns
