The Room was clean but very, very small. the bed was not giving us a backache, means it was not bad. everything was accetable but the Noise from the Street and the Airconditioner, which was blowing straight onto the Queen Bed. With $ 119.00 for the Night, with no Breakfast and no Parking facilities absolutely not recomendable exept for the close Location to Roma Street Transit Centre
The staff was very friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. The location was excellent, one block from the Commonwealth Courts, one block from the Roma Street train station, and just a few metres from George Street and all its the attractions: its many diverse shops, QUT, Queensland Parliment, Botanical Gardens, Queen Street Mall, Roma Street Gardens, and Central Station. The room was very neat and clean, and all amenities functioned properly. However, I simply did not feel comfortable in a room so small with one small window, and it was frosted. The room had a double bed and bathroom, and I cannot figure out that I actually needed more space, so I suppose I just wanted more space. I must be too accustomed to rooms with space for two double beds and a clear window, rather than one with a frosted window.
Staff
The staff at this hotel were among the friendliest and most helpful that I have ever encountered. They more than made up for the rather tiny room and outlook. The staff are exceptional.
I hadnt noticed the restaurant wasnt open at the weekends, and as a woman travelling on her own, when I went down to find it closed I wasnt venturing in to the city in the dark. No other food options available. The service from the counter was most helpful and friendly. I chose this hotel from a NZ website for its location to the Myer Centre for a bus direct to Nathan Campus and its proximity to transport to the airport. It certainly achieved that end. The room was good i.e. generous no. of teabags (dont drink coffee,or need sugar/milk. Would have prefered a complimentary water bottle instead of a jug of cold water in fridge as I dont know if the water was filtered or not. The room was a bit claustiphobic, but the bed was FANTASTIC - very comfy.
VERY POOR HOTEL. ONE SHOULD NEVER STAY IN SUCH A HOTEL. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, WITH NO SPACE TO EVEN WALK, BED WAS JUST NEXT TO TOILET. AT SUCH HIGH PRICE, ONE CAN EASILY GET MUCH MUCH BETTER ACCOMODATION
