My family found this hotel meeting all our requirements for a stay on vacation ~ although the location may be a little more suitable business travellers than for holidaymakers.

I would like to recommend The Excelsior Hotel for every traveler 1st visit or more. The Excelsior Hotel is the most convenient to find or get to another place by MTR. Most of Taxi driver know the hotel well. You don't need to worry about how to get there.

The hotel is in a very convinent location , very close to the main shopping area. the choice of places to eat within the hotel are excellent.
The staff are really nice and efficient and the concierge is really helpful.
The shuttle bus from the airport is a very good method of transport and runs every 30 minutes.
I highly recommend this hotel.

It was during the Chinese new year holiday when I was staying in the hotel. Many mainland chinese stayed in this hotel . I was staying in a non-smoking floor but unfortunately in some occasions, the whole floor was so smelly with cigarette smoke! I suggest the hotel to install effective smoke detector inside the non-smoking rooms and strongly forbid non smoking rule on non-smoking floors. Harbour view is very good. The room is warm in such winter time. The only shortcoming is the bathroom is a little bit too small.

Most hotel provides internet at reasonable cost or perhaps free - i.e it comes with the roomrate. I think this hotel internet rate is steep...

Very friendly, helpful staff. Went out of their way to make our holiday enjoyable. Wonderful, light and airy room. Fantastic views over Victoria Harbour, couldn'y have been better!

Great location but relatively expensive given the size and conditions of the rooms. They charge HKD130 + 13% tax for use of internet. No breadfast provided. The rooms in this hotel are small for the price they charge. The rooms are definitely in need of a renovation. The bathroom and everything else looks old.

Booked King size bed, given twin bed room. No mention of this when I booked

It is beginning to look a little worn but friendly service and a great location compensate for this. pleasant average size partial harbour view
