Fitst room was clearly below standard, especially considering amenities, such as towels, accessoiries. After frequent power failures and fierce complaints, the cooperative frontdesk staff changed the room for a much better one, plus a complimentary breakfast which was very much appreciated.

The room was not ready for occupation. There were no toiletries and basic needs such as towels were not made available. Such amenities were provided by housekeeping when we called to ask.

Picked a wrong time to visit as it was the start of their school holidays. EVerywhere was crowded and there was a long traffic jam from the hotel to the various attraction which lasted till 11pm.

The negative side is the basement parking with sparrow. It sounds great, but in fact, very dirty, smelly and my car become victim for sparrow dropping bomb. Besides, the facilities are a bit old, esp the bed. For positive side -- Nice environment, great location. This hotel located around happening places in cameron including straberry park, tea factory, market, bee farm, cactus valley and many more. I would say the location is perfect. This is the highest building in Brinchang (I guess). You can have excellent sceneric view even from your room. The facilities incluce swimming pool, in-door games etc. This is a great place for holiday. I wish the management will improve the old facilities and parking lot conditions. This will make it a perfect holiday stay.

On the last day of my stay, I have a food credit balance of about 30 MYR. I ordered a room service to be picked up at the hotel without doing a proper sum on my orders. It turned out that a pack of Nasi Lemak and a small cup of guava juice come up to 36+ MYR. That is more than a breakfast buffet that I could have enjoyed instead of a pack to go. It was probably my mistake not to ask for Ale carte order but called to make my order instead. But the staff should willingly give that offer when I was there to pick up the food as they are not actually sendi g to my room as a room service. Quite disappointed on that count but the rest was ok.

The location is majestic. the stay would relieve you of all the stress that you carried with you and leaves you rejuvenated.

Overall a nicely located hotel (near BOH tea plantation and vegetable market) and with friendly staffs, though I think its a bit run down and needs a face lift.

In my impression I think this hotel is better than average. Hotel facilities are excellent with better restaurants, amusements, parks, and so on.
However, at the lobby we did not a little make ourselves comfortable, because it was noisy for bigger talking voices of many groups.
I expect that any books, magazines, or guide books will be prepared at the lobby.

My stay at this hotel generally met my expectations. I liked the hotel location as it allowed you to enjoy a beautiful setting. The room was fine and the staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good and there were two restaurants for you to choose. Breakfast was excellent so it was worth the extra charge.

The only thing I did not like about the hotel was the unpleasant smell of the room we stayed. It was better with the window open, but I think it is something the hotel management should consider to improve.

The hotel is at prime location among the hustle and bustle of activities of the wet market, farms, tea plantation, rose gardens etc. Prices is much more expensive than Tanah Rata.

The surrounding of the hotel is surrounded by greens and hills - good for relaxation but could be boring for those who yearns for activities. Compared to the earlier years that I was staying, there are lesser flowers now and perhaps the Management should look into some cleanliness of the playground. Cleaners were not enough (most probably due to the Hari Raya Holidays) and we only had our apartment clean up in late evening (almost dinner time!)

The Chinese Restaurant at the hotel could not cater to all the walk in guests. Dim Sum were not served during lunch hour (suggest that they serve dim sum during weekends when there are more guests). Food at the coffee house were aplenty but cold and not very delicious.

There are rooms for improvement in terms of having more night activities for the guests like some singers to entertain the guests, a BBQ or Steamboats Nights (as an alternative choice of meals), and also foot reflexlogy or massage among the greenery of the hills etc.
I have stayed in apartments in Sydney and Korea the apartments are furnished with microwave and utensils for simple cooking and in one of the apartments that I stayed in Gold Coast, the apartment also provide a washing machine and a dish washer.

Overall, Equatorial is still one of the best hotel in Cameron Highland situated in prime location and among the popular activities of Cameron Highland. Good for family relaxation and honeymooners. Maybe boring for the young adventurers during the night time.
