I am one of two guys who booked at the Emu Walk Appartments principally because all other accommodation at the 'Rock' was shown as "FULLY BOOKED" when arranging accommodation over the internet, so it was not my first choice of places to stay.

However, having now experienced the Emu Walk, I found it to be quite acceptable in facilities and standard.
The cost is prohibitive for a single person, but with two sharing the cost, it worked out to be similar to two Hotel rooms.

The staff were exceptional with their welcome, friendliness, and service. Well done.

The Dining Room was well staffed, presented a quality menu, and provided terrific food and service.

I have no reservations about recommending the Emu Walk to anyone.

Really need to do something about the bugs at night. Temperature control of the aircon is needed than just the fan speed alone.

We felt that for a 2 bed apartment this was quite expensive, as we have stayed in a 5* 2 bedroom apartment in Port Douglas and this was half the price and a lot more impressive There were a number of cockroaches which kept coming in to one of the bedrooms which was quite annoying, we understand that you do get these things in hot countries but it wasn't very nice, and the bedroom was quite dirty like none of the furniture had been moved to hoover round and the air conditioning in this bedroom did not work.
