Well known for it's luxury appointments. It is a wonderful place to stay- great rooms excellent facilities and excellent staff. As is also apparent, Brunei is not a holiday destination in it's own right and this is why the \Empire is relatively inexpensive for the luxury presented. The lack of alcohol may also be a factor. Recommend guests try the local food offerings down Jalan Jerudong as well as markets in BSB as an alternative to excellent, but pricey, Club restaurants

Very impressed by the hotel. Rooms are luxurious, staff friendly & helpful.

This is a beautiful hotel. Staff are efficient. Large pool and leisure area right on the South China Sea so you can find a quiet area if you wish. Only bad thing I can say is that there is no longer a shuttle into town which is approx 15 minute taxi ride away. It costs thirty Brunei dollars each way so it can get expensive very quickly.

Service level is better than average in Brunei. However, still below international standards for a hotel of this type.

Need for more entertainment. quite luxuious room

Although this hotel is rather decent in appearance, the small attentions to detials are seriously lacking. Service is appalling and the food is very very bad. For the high prices, one would expect to be served the best quality food. I ordered chicken and received thigh meat and gristle. It was quite simply, disgusting. Phone did not work and could have provided fresh milk for tea and coffee. Internet did not work properly as connection kept failing.

We stayed 5 full days at the resort and were not bored for a minute. Very friendly and helpful staff, even though service was inconsistent. Actually we were upgraded to the Waterfall executive suite, so it was fantastic.
