One of my co-workers recommended the Hotel Elysees Mermoz. I had a lovely experience there. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The location was perfect, close to all the tourists attractions, restaurants, cafes and transportation. My friend and I both had single rooms. The were quite charming and bigger than we expected for a European hotel, very nicely decorated with a full size bed and flat screen tv. The bathroom had everything you would need or want complete with blue and white tile. There was a tub and a shower. I had a nice view of the street. My friend's room looked out on a little patio with plants. We only ate once in the hotel restaurant. They offered a variety of choices, cereal, yogurt, eggs toast, juice, coffee and so forth. However, breakfast was not included in the room rate. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Paris. I plan on staying there again when I have the opportunity to return.

Did take off one breakfast for two wwhen we complained at check-out. Otherwise its a quaint and cute hitek near everything we wanted and the breaakfast and lobby are lovely. Service o.k.
