See our complain about the location of our room (1511) as mentioned above. The room (1511)that we were offered was near lift (rather noisy)on the 15th floor. Very poor views and overlooking side streets and blocked by tall buildings on both sides. 'No other rooms were available or offered' at the time we checked in. Very disappointed with this as we booked months before. After we unpacked, we did not bother to request for another suitably located room with better views. Our friends(guests) who travelled with us were given an excellent room (1531), although we were the ones who booked and paid for both the rooms. No complimentary fruit basket was given to us but our guests in 1531 were given a fruit basket! Very poor PR by the hotel management!

the staff is very kind and helpfull. Prompt to satisfied all demand. i thought i did book a queen size bed but as usual the hotel give twin bed ....as i was not sure of my booking and short notice i didn't complain

Air-conditioning not functioning properly as it was not cool

A very nicely appointed Hotel with very efficient and friendly staff. Had a problem with the shower screen leaking water.

Good location. Staff very helpful and couteous. Bed too soft for weak backs, but nice comfortable pillows. Aircon can be controlled to desired temperature - rare in most hotels.

The hotel appeared to be quite compact/small in many aspects: the room (see prior comment), the lobby, the breakfast room, etc.). Also, the reception staff was not too friendly and helpfull. To make things worse, wasn't it a 4(!)-star hotel??? It seems as if they have forgotten that they work in the hospitality industry. On this trip we have traveled to Bali and Taiwan first before arriving in Hong Kong. In Bali and Taiwan (Taipei, Kaohsiung) the service was definitely much better. The breakfast was so-so, could also be better for a 4-star hotel. If we had not booked the hotel through holidaycity.com and had to pay the normal room rate, it would definitely not be value for money. The only thing that stood out was the glass atrium that houses the astor cafe I believe. We wanted to sit there to have some (non-alcoholic) drinks, but were sent away to the Planter's Bar. One was expected to have a meal in the glass atrium. The bed size was too small for two persons. The reception desk said that even the more expensive rooms (i.e. suites, executive rooms, etc.) had the same doublebed size. The room was still small in spite of being the deluxe room. We would not like to know the size of the regular room!

The room (1030) I stay on 23/9 ~ 24/9 is okay, but the room (511) on 26/9 ~27/9 is very bad, super small. (510 made to 511 & 512)

Swimmingpool open time should be extend. I could not use it. In the morning it was too earlier and in the night too late. A bigger board to hang up the suits would be perfect.
