The Hotel Des Mines met my expectations. While the room was small, it is not unusually small for Paris standards. The location is great, close to a Metro station that will take you to both Orly and CDG airports as well as the Eurostar terminal.

Only criticism is the bathroom which was uncomfortably small, making it difficult to shower.

The hotel is within walking distance of some of the key sights, with a good range of cafes and restaurants close by.

The staff were friendly and courteous.

I would stay at this hotel again.

The hotel met all our expectations. It is well located for walking plus RER close by. Staff were friendly and helpful, and room was very clean and comfortable. We would use the hotel again.

The hotel is very conveniently located for bus routes to all the main tourist sites in Paris. The hotel staff were extremely helpful with travel directions, tour bookings, etc. Very clean and functional. The double glazing was good for keeping traffic noise out.

The hotel was a suprise for me I was expecting much more less for a two star hotel in Paris.

The hotel location was good and it was close to the nearest metro. We had a room for smokers and we're not, so that was'nt that nice. We also heard the metro very well even as we had our room on the fourth floor. It was not a big problem, but we would have appreciated that information before our stay.

Good location, ok hotel, but guest from Asia might expect more for the money. Room was neat and clean, bathroom was clean and fairly new . Single bed room have smaller windows, so you cannot see outside unless you step on a chair. However room was full of natural light.

nice hotel no probelms. we had no problems, room was good for the 3 days we stayed in it. however if id been staying longer perhaps i would have needed a little extra space...

Tiny room and bathroom but very nice and clean and comfortable. The air-conditioned room was a blessing since we visited during a heatwave.

Car-parkng was far away and very expensive (almost 50% of room cost per day). No tea/coffee-making facilities. I normally expect this in every room that I book.

breakfast OK but limited. Good location, easy to RER luxembourg, 100m part of metro system. booked 2 rooms, would recommend superior room, standard room was not up to scratch size/amenity wise. superior was nice.

The hotel gives good value for your money. The worst thing I can say, is that you have to walk a bit to get to the attractions of the Latin Quarter. Restaurants etc. are hard to find around the hotel. Plus there is no Metro stop nearby, just an RER. So be prepared for a bit of walking. There should have been more closet space.

The hotel is strategically located in the city, near the metro and is accessible to cafes and restaurants. Room had ample space for 2 people. The bathroom was considerably bigger than other hotels.

The lobby personnel was excellent friendly and helpful Newly renovated room. We stayed for 9 nigths and we think it is not necessary to change linen and towels every day.

Free internet access would be nice. Don't want to purchase internet time just for a five minute email check. Nice large bathroom

We had a wonderful stay at Des Mines. We would definitely return. The room was small, but so are most rooms in Paris. It was clean, comfortable, and well appointed.

The hotel is in a good location. Is basic but clean. I would recommend the hotel. A small but clean room. A good sized, modern bathroom.
