The Criterion Hotel Perth, formerly the Regatta Hotel Complex opened its doors on the 26th April 1996. It has undergone extensive re-modelling and refurbishing. It is Perth's oldest hotel with a licence since 1840.

The Criterion Hotel Perth has the best of both worlds - the old and the new. The art-deco façade and some parts of its interior are being preserved as part of the Heritage Conservation effort to enhance the old style ambience of the area surrounding Hay Street. The rooms, lobby and its restaurants have been designed to incorporate the style of yester year yet achieving a modern day look through studied creative designing.

The grand art-deco facade of the Criterion Hotel Perth greets you as you approach. When you pass the impressive doors, you are entering into a fresh new world of today. Designed to accommodate the Perth visitor on business or on vacation, the Criterion Hotel Perth aims to make your stay a pleasant one.

Please note that Criterion Hotel Perth will be upgrading the lift from 1st December 2011 to appoximately the 31st January 2012. During this time, the hotel lift will be rendered inoperational. Rooms on higher floors will be accessible via the main lobby's staircase (the hotel has 3 floors in total). The hotel would appreciate if you can inform in advance if you require a lower level floor (subject to availability).
