I found the staff of the Criterion Hotel very friendly, polite and considerate.

The hotel staff were very helpful when I had my wallet stolen from the counter while paying my bill. They contacted the police and gave them a copy of the security video which had recorded the theft. They also telephoned me to see what had happened. I had booked a single room for two nights and then a twin for 10 and the hotel said I could stay in the same room. I asked to be moved as the single room was very small (even though it had two beds). They did move me after my request to a much larger room. If I had stayed in the same room I would have rathed the size at 1.

A great location and very good service. The rooms were very small though.

Not too well light. Was on an inside wall so only small windows that room lighting did not make up for.

The bed was very comfortable.

A coin operated laundry machine in the hotel would be an additional asset. good value

I really enjoyed my stay and thought it was great value for the price. I especially appreciated the complimentary wine and fruit I found in my room one evening. This was the only hotel that did this during my stay in Austrailia. I plan to come back and would stay at your hotel again.

Basic and no window view

The parking was very poor and difficult to use. And on one occassion we could not get in to the parking lot. also there was a fight in the room next to us on New years Eve so we moved out the next day.

The cafe was disappointing - the 2 meals I had, rissoto & pasta were tasteless, the breakfast eggs were overcooked & the other egg was inedible, the coffee was undrinkable. Rm.210 was noisey, too cramped, TV remote only worked occasionally, jug was not in good repair. The second room was 316 was much better.

I clicked and confirmed a double room and was forced to take triple because of your wrong booking.If I want to change, I have to call holiday city and this actually incur extra cost. Who would bother to do overseas call just to change the room? I feel really cheated and therefore I only stayed for a night and checked out immediately the next day and moved to esplanade, where I got a better room (facing the Swan River)at cheaper rate plus b/fast.After our suburb trip, they even upgraded us with a triple deluxe room. it is cramp and no bath tub.the reception counter is so dark and gloomy.hell lot of difference from the internet picture.
