Position very central. Hotel rather drab and basic although clean and comfortable. Quite a nice breakfast.

I was not aware GST was not included. When I booked the hotel I was under the understanding it was $100 a night, perhaps this should be highlighted on the booking website Thankyou for changing the room when Phillip was disatisfied

Hotal was under renovation and limitations were understandable. Parking space was limited. Additional bed was provided on time and was very comfortable.

Parking not easy (But I understand this is hard to improve) Internet access (broadband, preferably wireless) is desirable in the room.

Pokey corridors and multiple doors to get to room -but it is undergoing a major upgrade and rebuild so this will change no doubt

Hotel was good, although appearing a bit ageing in some areas. Staff were friendly and easy-going, and professional and helpful. Room was in good state, with views as expected.

Traffic noise and noise from a rock concert were intrusive, the room would benefit from double glazing.

Enjoyed our stay and found it good for children as well. Double bed had really bad roll-together and we aren't that fat!

The staff were wonderfully helpful. The view from the room was lovely and it was bright and sunny and spacious.

Window dirty spoiling excellent city views.

I was a bit surprised when paying that the price on the website did not include taxes, so instead of the $110 I was paying per night it was $123. Had I realised this at the time of booking I may have chosen somewhere cheaper. Room was very spacious with a wonderful view of Oriental Bay. Very clean and modern looking.

You could use a sauna and/or hot tub! Also, the email set-up is not the best since coins are required. The pillow was a bit too hard for me as I have neck problems. A balance in 'pillow' types is helpful to have

Room was very dated. Needs to be refurbished. The room had a very strong smell of cigarettes. Bath tub drain blocked and water backed up after each shower.

The hotel is looking tired. But the location is excellent. I originally booked a front bedroom facility and was taken to a back unit. After about half an hour was taken to a front double room - which was evidently not used - my daughter and myself had to step over a high wall to get to our room. The room didnt seem to have good ventilation and the door to the deck was almost impossible to slide across. All in all I was very disappointed in the accommodation - costing $163 per night. Felt I could have got much better facilities for this price. I have stayed at your hotel and your other hotels in the past and have got a much better service and accommodation. The room should have been reduced because of all the inconvenience. Thank you for giving me this opportunity to voice my concerns. Also the TV choice was very limited to what I have been used to in the past.

Parking a problem. Hotel needed a renovation and upgrade. Staff were very good. Views from rooms outstanding as was the position. Room was old and tired. Curtains were hanging off track in places, walls needed painting, sliding door to balcony was hard to open and close.

The hotel is now a little tired.

Need for changing facilities at the pool or at least a dry place to hang towel in shower. I filled in a form at the hotel regarding all this
