This well situated hotel is in need of some expenditure to update its somewhat neglected atmosphere/ambience, and to take advantage of its excellent location. Somewhat below expectations from advertising, particularly re value for money. Very ordinary and rather tired looking decor- in need of a makeover to make it more attractive and inviting for guests.

didnt use all hotels facilities so cant comment on all areas.Obviously an older facility,good being balanced by slow small lifts etc.No real problems would stay again and would recommend to others Good views,liked being able to open windows

The internet "cafe" type access was okay, but not up to standard. For business use I actually needed to be able to dial up using my own notebook computer. Adequate, though hotel clearly old.

No facility for disabled and you have to carry your bags up steps to the lift area after checking in at most its a 2 star excellent location though Very tired and dated type of hotel room needs upgrading badly

There was only 1 teaspoon. There were not enough towels. The car park was a nightmare to get in and out with a four-wheel-drive. Corridor was too cold. Air-conditioning too noisy.

The only slight complaint I had about the room was the volume of noise from outside the front of the hotel, ie: there were no double glazed windows

Decor needs updating - very tired.

The reason for booking this hotel was it's central location as we had limited time to see the city. We did not anticipate the excessive and continuous noise from the patrons of the nightclubs opposite. Despite it being illegal to sound car horns during the night, the taxis failed to observe this law and were still doing so when we left the hotel at 6.30 the next morning. This led to a totally disrupted night's sleep. I believe you should warn potential customers that noise may be a problem, especially on a Saturday night.

Some of the public areas looked a little scuffed. But the accommodation was perfectly adequate for our needs and the staff were pleasant and obliging.

Bathroom looked a little tired - due for a re-fit I think

For an Auckland hotel, the rate was reasonable, I guess, but we stayed in other hotels (outside of Auckland)with slightly better rooms for less View was good, we stayed at different rooms because our trip to Auckland was interrupted by other trips--once were we in a room where the toilet was not functioning properly, but the hotel quickly changed us

The location of the hotel is excellent, the management could make this a great location with a little effort in paying attention to the little things that make the difference between a medium hotel and a preferred hotel. The whole hotel is in need of refurbishment, it is "tired" and needs freshening up. We arrived in our room and the smell was unbearable, the room was not aired and we had to buy deorderiser to dispell the odour. We requested an early wake up call to go to airport- didnt happen. We received no valet service and transported our luggage to our room on both occasions. Very poor effort for a 4 star hotel
