We were very pleasantly surprised by this hotel - the bedroom was extremely spacious and comfortable. The hotel was in fact only 5 mins taxi ride from the airport. The hotel staff were without exception very polite and welcoming and the food was excellent; better than we'd expected.

The staff were helpful. The shuttle bus to the airport was very convenient. When we phoned from the airport it picked us up very quickly. The location was excellent for the airport.

An excellent experience all round. The staff were helpful and friendly without exception and went the extra mile without it being an issue. I acn only recommend it as a plac to retreat and relax. The food is great from the restaurant and the facilitis brilliant.

Convenient to the airport, excellent room, complimentary drinks, bus passes to Cathedral Squaree and very helpful staff meant we had a very comfortable stay at the hotel. Would definitely stay again!

We arrived late at night for an overnight stay but still got great service from the staff and personally escorted to our room at 1.00am. Very comfortable and large room. Could not fault it in any way. Did not even feel the earthquake that occured during the night. Ideally close to the airport with complimentary shuttle.

we booked for one night and stayed two.It was great 5 minutes from the airport, we arrived very late, they run a free 24hrs shuttle excellant service.When we entered our room we were shocked it was large well maintained they had turned on lights low and left the radio on low playing soft music a lovely touch.The staff could not do enough for us they assisted with choosing and booking further hotels and they made some excellant choices. We would highly reccomend this hotel, although its near the airport your comfort is not affected by it.We would give this hotel 8 out of 10.

I'm a kiwi who has been living overseas for the last 13 odd years. For business I travel at least once a month and so feel I have a reasonable knowledge of hotels worldwide. All I really want to comment on regards the front staff and the shuttle driver. Unfortunately I don't recall any names. My bags were lost by Air New Zealand and so was without anything, as well as my bag having documents and pictures I needed for a new passport. Your staff not only gave me extra amenities, they helped shuttle me around to where I needed to go to make up for the lost documents and even went as far as contacting the passport office for me after I had left for a connecting flight to Wanaka. They went above and beyond what was needed and were made a completely shitty situation manageable for me. I will be back in Chch sometime as a stopover for Wanaka and will be bringing a large group of friends with me from the four corners, and without a doubt we'll be staying with you again. To put it simply I was beyond impressed with all aspects of your service, and I'm extremely thankful. Whoever the manager is needs to buy a round of drinks for the front staff and driver. Cheers.

Approximately 20 minutes into Christchurch but hotel will provide free bus pass if required.

This is an excellent hotel with friendly, efficient staff. Picked up at the airport near midnight, free bus pass the following day and driven to motor home depot the next day with no charge.

The staff were excellent. Complimentary bus passes to the city and a shuttle service to the airport and to other destinations was very good.

Everything was excellent except the meal. We had to wait a long time. My first course (mussels) was lovely but my main meal was pure salt. To the hotels credit, this was removed from my bill the next day.

I have stayed in many 5 star hotels in Australia over the years and your hotel exceeded my expectations.

The service from the front desk check-in until the shuttle departure for the airport ALL were exemplary.

In particular I would mention the lunch and dinner we had. At lunch we commented upon other wait staff who were not attending our table; how they greeted us and participated in the service provision. Cameron in particular assisted with our food selection at lunch and provided excellent advice on our dinner wine selection.

At dinner I was expecting a large plate with minimal food, so ordered a side dish as well. The mains came as a full meal in their own right and sadly we couldn't manage all of the side dishes. The presentation and tastes were superb.

Finally, we enjoyed the garden walks and trust you succeeded in the local garden competition.

We have already and will in the future thoroughly recommend your hotel to everyone who may visit Christchurch.

It was great that we were picked up from the airport about 5 minutes after making a free call to the hotel, especially as it was late at night. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were offered a complimentary drink in the bar which was welcome. The room was clean and very comfortable.
We travelled through the South Island for 5 days and stayed at the Commodore Airport Hotel again on our return to Christchurch. Again we found the staff and accomodation extremely good. Definately worth a visit especially for the close proximity to the airport.
I would like to see a package incorporating breakfast in the price, as in many other hotels. Having said that breakfast was lovely!

Zipper beds are not comfortable.

This was an overnight stop-over enroute to Queenstown - arrived midnight and checked out at 6.30am so didn't have time to really appreciate the hotel but we were very impressed with the professionalism of the front counter person and the room was very comfortable - also the shuttle bus driver was very friendly and obliging.

The woman at the front desk was a little unwelcoming but everyone else was very friendly and helpful. The bathroom was great, the rest of the room was a little dated but still perfectly clean and comfortable.

Well located with easy access to the airport. Excellent facility. Free 24hr shuttle service to the a'port again excellent. Evening meal & service was also excellent. Heater in room didn't work. Apparently boiler didn't switch on as required. Staff n duty very obliging & immediately provided a portable heater.
