I booked the motel due to its proximity to the Gold Coast Convention Centre (which I will be for an exhibition) and based on the some fairly positive reviews. Overall, it fell a little short of my expectations as it turned out to be a rather basic motor inn. Perhaps its because I have stayed in some motels in Australia which have better room comfort level. Don't get me wrong, the room is clean and the usual coffee/tea facilities are provided. Maybe the bed could be more comfortable and with a proper work/dressing table. Here we have a bar table with high chairs. A good thing is the free internet (you have to get the password from the staff) which is chargeable in most hotels in Australia and probably not as fast even. Another positive is the firendly service provided by the staff (either the lady owner or staff). The motel is not easily spotted so be prepared to have the telephone number available in case you need to call and contact them. There is rather popular Malaysian restaurant just opposite the road as well as KFC and Hooters just across. A short 3 minutes drive away is a big shopping mall with many different eateries and restaurants. A recommendation is a Japanese sushi restaurant (sushi on conveyor belt) which you can find among the many restaurants near the mall. Very good and economical! Overall not a bad place if you are looking for a place to stay for a night or two at a good price, especially if you are driving as parking is free.

The hotel is just along the main road. It is extremely easy to find the hotel. In addition, the hotel is within walking distance to major stores, hence it is easy to get food/drinks without car. However, the hotel does not have facilities for infrant. Hence, it is not the best choice if you are travelling with young children.
