The check in was straight forward as we has made our reservation on line and the receptionist welcomed us and asked if we had stayed before which we had.. We were given the key to our room which I assumed was on the first floor as the number was 122. After exiting the lift on the first floor we discovered that our room was in fact on the ground floor. We entered the room and it was clean and tidy and the complimentary house keeping items were topped up for us to have a drink after our journey. When we used the bathroom we were a little disappointed that the soap dispenser next to the sink needed filling. The bathroom looks a little care worn but the shower worked with a good force of water but the room became filled with steam as the extractor fan didn't appear to work. The television worked with all the usual channels but again it may be time to upgrade the television to a flat screen. When we left the hotel to visit our family we were surprised that the bar was not attended and other customers were not able to purchase a drink. The bed was firm which afforded us a good nights sleep and there was little or no outside noise to disturb us. The breakfast was very good with the selection of cooked food as well as cereals and yogurts. Hot and cold drinks were available although I would have preferred a choice of coffee rather than just the old "drip coffee". Perhaps it is time to upgrade the drinks machine to a more modern one offering a selection of drinks. There were plenty of tables to choose from and the waiting staff were quick to clear away the tables once customers had vacated them. Checkout was simple and the reception staff were polite and professional in their manner. There was ample spaces in the car par for us to leave our car. Overall, quite a pleasant place to stay and yes we probably return in the future.

The hotel is generally comfortable, and the breakfast was good with adequate choice. The staff were polite to our queries and requests. The hotel is located from the nearest London underground station (East Finchley) at a distance of about 13min by the local bus (No 263). This is OK for leisure purposes. The only problem is that we booked our rooms with air-conditioning, but the air-conditioning units were not working effectively at all. It was as if no air-conditioning existed. We reported this problem to the hotel staff but they couldn't really solved the problem at all. So basically we paid the price for air-conditioned rooms but getting the result of a non air-conditioned rooms. We reported this to the hotel using their feedback system, but honestly we don't know if they would take notice.

The hotel is easy to drive to from the North and for visiting North London, yet has easy access to central London via Finchley Central, Northern line tube station which is 1.3 miles or 20 minutes walk. Car parking is free and plentiful. Buses pass the hotel regularly. There are fast food restaurants in the complex. Decent area which was busy and felt safe for walking. Finchley itself is a busy and interesting suburb. The hotel is functional rather than plush, but perfectly adequate for our needs. The rooms are spacious and contain everything you need for a short stopover, such as tea/coffee facilities, TV and functional bathrooms with shampoo/soap dispenser and large towels. We had a brand new mattress on a comfortable bed with very decent bed linen. Breakfast is self service and basic; straightforward full English with no choices. Sliced bread/toast was the only bread product available during our stay. Fresh brewed coffee and decent orange juice. Only saw one member of staff in the breakfast room, clearing tables. Bar area/lounge is functional. Reception friendly and helpful. An excellent priced hotel if you want functionality rather than luxury. Real bonus with free parking and breakfast. We shall return.

Normally we stay in 4stars. But there was no 4 star in the vicinity of your hotel. Our family relations live nearby. Your hotel is quite average. But the breakfast was excellent, as good as any 4 star.

This is possibly the most uncomfortable bed I have slept in. When raised with reception at chekcout, I was told that they were in the process of changing the mattresses, however this room has not been done. When I then asked were all of the other rooms with new mattresses occupied, I was told no. I then asked why I had not been given one of these rooms, I was told that mine was the first complaint about this room!! When checking out, I was not asked "how was my stay" - it was just acknowledged that I was returning the key. On a positive note, the breakfast was OK!!

One has to consider value for money. I have paid a similar amount for bed and breakfast in a private house. So on that basis I think the pair of us had nothing whatsoever to moan about. In fact, it was precisely as we expected. Although it appeared mainly occupied by folk on a short break it was typical of a chain-run hotel for reps and business people on overnights. It was a pleasant stay and good breakfast. I was told on arrival that mine was a promotional price of £66.60 for two of us. No problem except I was unaware it was a promotion. In my view it is not always very clever to express that position as if the hotel is doing you a favour. It would be prudent to remember that many groups, Travelodge, Britannia, etc are openly offering promotions for similar rooms at much cheaper prices. This is just an observation and not a serious criticism. The reason we chose the Finchley hotel was its proximity to family not the price or promo. Great location on a leisure complex. Thank you.

Unfortunately we had to cut short our three night stay after only one night as I took ill and we had to return home. Because this was a "special rate" we had to settle the bill in full. However we have stayed at this hotel on numerous occasions - which speaks for itself!

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn Finchley on numerous occasions and for value for money for visiting London we cannot find fault. The staff are always extremely helpful - the location is pretty good - and of course we avoid the congestion charge as car parking is free. Access to public transport is brilliant.

Have stayed at here on numerous occasions now - the staff are always extremely pleasant - excellent value for money.

We have stayed here on many occasions and have always found the staff extremely courteous - location is perfect for visiting London - breakfast is always fresh and plentiful.

Hotel lived up to expectations. Rooms were comforatable and on a par with Holiday Inn Express/Travelodge etc. Breakfast included in the price was excellent - buffet bar style eat what you want as much as you want. We did.

Hotel was convenient for us as we visiting family in North London. Staff were courteous and helpful. There is ample parking.

The staff were friendly and helpful to all my family paying special attention to the children and making us all feel welcome.

The location was perfect. we were attending a friend's 50th birthday celebration and the venue was within easy walking distance, as well as having a main bus route on the doorstep.

We had breakfast in the hotel and it was good, although the eggs were a bit rubbery. There was plenty of choice.

We have stayed here approx 6 times as it is convenient
for visiting the Capital and also accessible from our starting point in N Lincs. Free parking so we beat the Congestion Charge. Staff are always friendly and the breakfast is always nicely cooked and fresh coffee is freely available.

The location was very good,although, we would have liked to have been a little closer to a tube station,but their was a good bus service anyway.Staff were pleasant and helpful, breakfast was excellent, nicely cooked and hot.The free parking was also a big plus. The room was clean, tidy and warm.It was nice to see tea and coffee making facilities.Very slight oder to the room

We have stayed at the Comfort Inn Finchley on several occasions now and have always received excellent service. The breakfasts are pretty good also

A Gym was mentioned on the web site, however, this was extra and external to the hotel. It was expensive for few services Not enough tea bags! and the TV remote had to be repaired and had a poor picture

good value for money and comfortable. room was adequeate but there was no shower cap provided or moisturing cream just liquid soap over the bath.

Staff very helpful indeed. Not having evening food available locally was a bit of a problem
