Coconut Beach Resort Daintree Rainforest Daintree Rainforest is situated between two World Heritage areas, the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Cape Tribulation is one of nature's true paradises and guest will be holidaying in one of the world's most remarkable environments. The ancient forests of the Daintree are home to 85 of the world's 120 rarest species of plants and thrive with native fauna, a living museum that has barely changed over thousands of years. The Barrier Reef is the world's largest coral formation, comprised of nearly 3000 separate reefs, made up of 400 different kinds of coral. Its waters teem with spectacular marine life. Scuba diving, snorkelling, sea kayaking, horse rides, guided interpretive rainforest walks and crocodile cruises are some of the adventures on offer here. Directions : From Cairns City : Head north on Sheridan Street, Sheridan Street then becomes the Captain Cook Highway. From Cairns Airport : The exit road from the domestic or international terminals at Cairns Airport leads to a T-junction with the Captain Cook Highway. Turn right onto the highway (signposted Northern Beaches, Port Douglas). Once on the Captain Cook Highway : Follow the highway north from Cairns for approximately 1.5 hours until you reach the Daintree Ferry Turnoff. During this time you will drive past the turnoff to Port Douglas and through the town of Mossman, exiting the town on the main road signposted Daintree/Cape Tribulation. 20 - 30 minutes after you leave Mossman town, take the right turn signposted Cape Tribulation and Daintree River Crossing. Cross the ferry and continue on Cape Tribulation Road for approximately 45 minutes. As you descent the Noah Range, the road passes close to the beach, a further 200m along you will see an entry sign for Coconut Beach Resort Daintree Rainforest Daintree Rainforest.
