Stayed four nights at the Hotel Claude Bernard in April. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is very close to Notre Dame and the center of Paris. The staff was very friendly and the free internet access from their lobby computer was very helpful. One caution, the elevator is very small. It will accomodate one person only. Would definitely stay this hotel again.

Helpful staff, clean comfortable hotel, good breakfast, great location Accommodations had been recently renovated and updated...comfortable and attractive. Only negative was TV which didnt work well.

Very short, rude and unhelpful staff, they leave water in your room with no notice about any charge for it, they the upon checkout charged us 6 Euro's for the water!!!!! Extreamly small rooms, and the elevator was so small i could not even fit my suit case in it (quite literally!!)

Lift very small. Breakfast not great. Hall carpets not that clean. Outside of building looks dated. However, good service, good location, clean rooms, good value of money considering rates of other nearby hotels. Clean room and very clean bathroom. Good size of room. Great view. Clean towels everyday.

We had an excellent visit to Paris, and this hotel and its friendly staff helped to make our time a great one.

Some renovations in the lobby/stair well. The lift like those in many small hotels in Paris was barely big enough for myself and my luggage.

This is not a 3* hotel by any standard. The room was dirty. The entire hotel was run down. Some work had been but to a very poor standard. You can hear the people in adjacent rooms breathing the walls are so thin.

My friend and I were initially given a very small bedroom with no outlook, an inadequate bathroom and only a small double bed.This room was disappointing but it was clean. After requesting a room with twin beds and a view the next day we were more than happy with what was provided. This second room was spacious as was the bathroom,There were two doors opening to a balcony and a view out into the street.

Really appreciated you letting us check in early since our flight arrived in the morning. The showers really helped. Also for letting us store out luggage the day we checked out and allowing us to use an unrented room for US$20 to take showers before out night train to Zurich. Handy location. Helpful staff. Large room was perfect for our family group of five.

I've read many comments (good and bad) regarding this hotel on the internet and must agree that the hotel is a bit past it's prime and is need of minor refurbishment. However, it does have a quaintness about it and it is located in an excellent location. If you are looking for no frills, standard accommodations at a reasonable price, this is the place. I would not hesitate stay at the Claude Bernard Hotel again. Having requested a tripe (for three peopel) at time of booking I specifically requested that there be no cots. On our first night of arrival we were given a very, very small room with a double bed and A COT! We were moved to a larger room on our second night.

we had asked for a room with double bed but were given one with 2 small single beds..no alternative.we had booked for two nights..only stayed one as had to ..they were going to charge us for one as they had our credit card details.The worst hotel i have ever stayed in... how it is 3 stars i will never know room and bathroom smelt of sewage,bed linen stank of smoke,sink was dirty..bath was blocked

Good location, cafes close by, very short work to main sites. Hotel staff very very helpful, made bookings for us, gave advice on places to go. Main reception attendant spoke exceptional english. Really nice room, large windows looking onto the street, had a TV. Bathroom nice but just a shower no bath. Clean, sheets changed regularly
