Given its location, I guess we should expect the hotel to be noisy with traffice all night, etc; however, it would help to reduce the noise level if we are able to close the windows provided the room is air-conditioned in the summer Tha room is too congested for 3 people especially with big luggages

We started and ended a two-month cycling holiday in NZ in this hotel, and they stored our bicycle crates (used to pack our bikes on the flight in) in their cellar, so we could reuse those on the flight out again. That's service! "Small" was as expected; the hotel also offers larger (more expensive) rooms

There was a group of 7 of us staying there for a friends wedding. we all had freinds or family that lived in auckland but we chose to all stay together. The communal area was good but we could have done with a little extra space. We had trouble with the air conditioning but it was quickly sorted by freindly staff

The room was fitted with a bed big enough for 2 persons, but because the room was very small I don't think it is possible to stay there with a party of 2.

Was small, but perfectly adequate for a short stay. Street noise from Albert Street was an issue at certain times.

Excellent city centre location. Represents value for money in Auckland but not elsewhere in NZ. We were allowed to check in early which was a great help after a long flight and with a 2 year old. The windows were quite low and could not be locked. We had a small child and were concerned that he could open the window especially as the bed was located next to the window.

peeling wallpaper, musty smell and in general not that nice. It was clean though. No airconditioning either .. City Central Hotel was much better

We left our toothbrush charger at the hotel and rang and they said it would be sent back to us we have still not received it and this was nearly 2 weeks ago. It would be good to have a small fridge in the room when you have cold drinks as we do not drink tea or coffee.

Ask for an inside room as there is no noise from the streets. The hotel is extremely handy to central city. Make sure you book a 3 person room - the standard rooms are exceptionally small.

Staff seems distracted and uninterested. Big column in the middle of the room took up a lot of space

Even though I was only using the room at night, I thought the room and bathroom were too small. The shower rose was placed very low in the shower forcing you to just about get on your knees to wash your hair.
