Staff were always very friendly and if visiting Auckland for leisure the hotel location is excellent, being close to the Civic Theatre/Aotea Centre and numerous bars and restaurants. The room wasn't huge and didn't have air conditioning or many amenities, but it is good value for money and I would definately stay there again. Unfortuantely the hotel has no free guest car park, although they have negotiated reduced rate parking close by. However, this could add up if staying for a number of days.

My daughter and I were staying in Auckland for just one night before travelling north and wanted a central overnight stay.
The hotel was in a central location but rather noisy. Lots of traffic noise through the windows. The room was very small and cramped with barely room for the twin beds.
The breakfast was acceptable but nothing exceptional.
The staff however were very friendly and helpful.
Good value for the one night but I wouldn't have wanted to stay there all week.
The Irish Bar a couple of doors down was convenient for food and drinks and had a lively atmosphere.

The hotel has a good location and is ok for one or two nights. For longer stays you need quite a bigger room than we had in this hotel.

The location is really good, but the standard room we're staying in is really small. I don't check the size of the family room. The staff service is really good, and helpful.

Your staff was very accommodating with assisting us in our transfer to the airport.. grealy appreciated as we're elder and such greater attention to seeing to our assurance of transfer was very helpful.

We loved the location, the cleanliness and the Staff. We could walk about the heart of Auckland. When we come back, as we hope to do, we will try to stay for 3 nights rather than 1. Very convenient and the Staff are knowledgable. Also, we felt very secure.

while all was fine the room was very small with a double bed which we're not used to. The service was exceptional with very friendly and courteous staff.

The hotel is located in the downtown of the city. With such room rate, I can't complain.

The staff there are very nice. The room is much smaller than I expected. The smell if the quilt is not good. But the room is clean.

I would recommend this hotel to people who want to visit the city, not staying in the hotel. :)

The staff were very helpful.The discout taxi arrangement wa svery good value for money.

We did not like the original room we were given and were able to change to a better room without any difficulty and fuss. The desk was helpful in answering questions about various services we required in Aukland.
We reserved the same room at a date 3 weeks later and were able to obtain it as requested.

A good value budget hotel centrally located for both business and leisure. Staff were friendly, helpful and informative. I have returned to stay there and would do so again.

The location of the hotel was its greatest advantage. Because I was only there for one night by myself and spent almost no time in my room, its extreemly small size was not too bad. If I was there with another person or had to spend more time there I would have found another hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful.

The room was small but comfortable. The staff was very courteous. The prize was reasonable. The location is excellent. Very clean. Perfect hotel for a one to two night stay for people who travel on a smaller budget.

Have a small fridge in every guest room as there is none in my room.

Better TV programmes.

The hot and cold taps are ancient. They should provide a mixer as it is very difficult to mix the hot and cold water manually from individually spaced taps over a tiny basin. Should provide a bigger wash basin.

City Central Hotel was adequate for the two night stop-over we had in Auckland. The room was very small and basic, however, it was en suite and had tea/coffee facilities. The overall cleanliness of the hotel was also adequate. For the price of the room we had and the location within the city, it is not a bad choice. If you prefer a little more luxury, then this hotel would not be the one for you!

Hotel is good, clean and excellent value for money situated in central Auckland. We arrived at the hotel at 11:30am after flying from the UK and the room was ready and available to us immediately. Hotel parking is provided next door at a concessionary rate. Only downside is lack of view of the city but would definitely consider using again.
