The family and I were coming home from a long trip to Australia so we had to make a stop in Dubai before continuing to Kuwait. We stayed at the Chelsea Tower Hotel Apartments in Dubai on Sept 2008. This is a great and very luxurious Hotel apartments with high standards of almost all of its services (although we did not stay long enough to enjoy them). Checking-in was very fast (less than 3 min) with courteous reception by the front desk staff. The elevators are state of the art with TV screens inside the elevators showing BBC and other channels 24 hrs non-stop. The rooms in my 3 BR apartment were the largest I've seen during all of my travels around the world. Additionally, there were 3 very elegant and classy bathrooms (3 bathrooms are very rare thing to find in other apartements anywhere else). For those who like to prepare their own meals, the kitchen is of high standard with state-of-the-art equipment and decoration. The apartment was at the 24th level and was very quiet for a very good night sleep. The distance to airport is an acceptable 15 - 20 min with excellent Taxi service just outside the reception area (plenty of mini vans for family transport to airport or anywhere else in Dubai). One drawback which I am sure is of temporary nature, was the road side heavy constructions (not in the hotel though) on the main Sheikh Zaid street, but then again the constructions are all over Dubai anyway. The last point I want to mention is the price so as to justify the rating I gave for this point. I have stayed in the hotel during the Off-Season period, thus at that time I would say that I got the maximum top value for my money. But I cannot say the same during the high season because the hotel rate goes up 3.5 times the off season price. At any rate I think this is one of the most luxurious hotel apartments for families I have ever had the chance to stay in.
