I had long had my eyes on this hotel which looks very nice from the outside and is situated in easy distance from Soho/Picadilly but in the quiet of the City, just a stones throw from the Tower of London. I was not disappointed. Tastefully furnished room and a big and clean bathroom, a far cry from the usual English building standards. Well stocked bar fridge and real glasses. Bath robes, iron and ironing board, trouser press, coffe&tea making facilities w buscuits. Room service/breakfast in bed availability and newspaper under the door in the morning. Quite good restaurant on the ground floor with a pub/bar. Hotel staff very "uneven". Some pleasant and smiling but I was quite taken aback by the surly reception walking into the bar at 2200hrs with only a few customers at the tables. I felt like I was disturbing and so did my daughter and her byfriend. It was not even near closing time. However, this was the only fly in hte ointment, so the over all impression is very favourable and i will defenitely come again.

While this hotel is not in the premier location for tourists, we found it to be very convenient with the Tube.
Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the room was very comfortable. The food was delicious in the 2 restaurants. We would definitely stay again.
