EXCELLENT LOCATION FOR TRAIN CONNECTIONS. CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND QUIET. APPRECIATE THE HELP FROM STAFF WITH HAILING A CAB.

The hotel was clean and simple. No fancy products or services.
It is very basic self-catering in the rooms so it is useful to find a local shop for breakfast and other foodstuff. It isn't really possible to cook a meal although there is amicrowave oven if you like that kind of food.
Environment - disappointing environmental performance. Like many similar hotels and B&Bs the proprietor has not made any provision to improve enviornmental performance or reduce impacts such as energy use or water consumption.

Tourism accommodation providers must start grasping this very important aspect of holiday consumers.

I am Chair of Cumbria Green Business forum where most of our members are tourism or hospitality service providers. We are starting to make a difference. bookings are up becuase tourists these days will make informed choices about their holidays based on green destinations and accommodation.

Australia - like many other tourism destination has unique and challenging environmental pressures. the tourism industry must respond to these in a positive way.

The hotel didn't had even lift. Me & my family had tough time in shifting luggage to the third floor.

This is a fairly old hotel but kept is pretty good condition. We arrived fairly early and had to drop off our luggage before the room was ready. My wife asked if they had a bathroom she could use and was told "no, but there was a hotel down the street that she could use" We didn't think that was too helpful for someone just arriving in Sydney. The room had a microwave, refrigerator and pot for making instant coffee and everything worked. Not a bad location for walking to Chinatown or the Darling Harbor area.

Very friendly staff. Hotel situated close to bus, train, restaurants, etc.

Shampoo, ice and washcloth(s) would be nice additions.

Positive experience all around, fantastic location (5 min walk from Central Railway Station!), comfortable room and friendly people running the show. Certainly would recommend this hotel to anybody.

this hotel is only good for backpac kers and not for families .location is good but the rooms are small and very old and falling apart.I would not reccomend this to anyone .

The door was locked when we arrived and it took some time to get in. The staff were having a social when we arrived and so the service was very poor. When we enquired about where we could get a meal we were again met with indifference. It should not be called "The Central Railway" since it is a taxi ride away from the station and therefore it comes as a big shock to arrive tired in a city at night time to try to find your hotel.
It really is too far out from the amenities and you need to be a good walker to get to the CBD. The room was quite comfortable but had no toiletries in the bathroom. To be fair the staff were a little better on the next morning but first impressions are very important.
I suppose that if you had a car and knew the city well then it is reasonably priced and reasonably convienient for a business traveller.

This hotel is convenient but only disadvantage was there is no elevator. not a problem for us , but it would be if you were unable to climb stairs, or could not lift case, was not aware of this when booking, might be useful to mention it

Was a good base for our visit to Sydney. Would recommend the hotel to others visiting Sydney Serviced well, clean and comfortable, real joy to stay in for the 4 days

Reception area need revamping and and reception staff need training. Staff behave more more like government clerks.

The bus stop outside was good. Very good for us. We appreciated to do breakfast.

Good hotel for getting around Sydney. We invested in a three day explorer pass which weas excellent value and the city explorer stopped at Central station which is a short bus ride away. Good room with a fridge and tea making facilities!

We liked the outdoor seating areas. The room's were comfortable in size. The bed's were also quite comfortable.

An easy walk to the central train station. Very convienient.

Lovely people running the hotel.Love the courtyard on the lower level Excellant to have a microwave,crockery,cutlery and sink to be able to make some of our own meals.
