nostalgia return to Wellington

After many years abroad we decided to return to our meeting place of 40 years ago - Wellington. So we looked for a suitable place to spend the brief time in the city. The advert sounded ideal to our needs and we found that our expectations were met in all fields. Staff were lovely and genuine. Thanks you for making our reunion of 40 years one to remember. The situation couldnt be more convenient to every place we wanted to visit. We felt at home and warm and comfortable.

I will not be staying in that hotel ever again. We asked for a baby portacot the one the blanket that was supplied had vomit on it from the prevoious use? The chairs in the room had food still in them - once this was reported it took two days for anything to be done

It seems to be a common problem in NZ that the beds are way too soft. Perhaps it is a NZ thing. The hotel needs a bit of a touch up as a lot of the finish woodwork etc is starting to show wear which lets it down a lot.

Very noisy situation overlooking an alleyway to bars. Only 3 floors up and we were kept awake for several hours by the noise.

Whilst the location was excellent and the two bedroomed unit spacious, the beds were very soft and uncomfortable for those who prefer a firmer mattress. The bathroom was very small and a bit disappointing. Also, no sharp knife in the kitchen.

Our room was very clean and was cleaned very well each day. The windows, view were great and we appreciated having a washer and dryer to use (and at no add'l cost to us) Also - great kitchen supplies.

The mattress needs to be updated (room 1102). The room was clean. However I would have expected a better range of cooking facilities (a stove top).
