We decided to go to Melbourne for the weekend for my Mum's 70th Birthday. The Hotel Causeway was perfect for its convenience for shopping, sightseeing and theatres. We saw "Wicked" on the Saturday night, which we could walk to. The restaurants at "The Block" were fantastic and also within a minutes walk.

Our bedroom was comfortable, clean and well appointed. Breakfast in the morning was simple, yet just what we needed to start our day. The danish's were great!

Last but not least, the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Whether it was asking which trams to catch, to helping us with luggage, or ringing for transfers, they did it with a smile.

We would thoroughly recommend staying at The Hotel Causeway and have already thought about returning next year!

Great location! The breakfast that was included with our room was also very good.

A problem with early morning rubbish bins in street below getting emptied. Only small problem, we had to ask for tea bags, (ordinary).

A great spot in town would be returning on my next visit to Melbourne. Geat room, I like the two seats and table setup.

i was really impressed, with the location. it was within easy walking distance to major attractions & a very short taxi/tram ride to the main shopping streets i was really impressed with this hotel. the cleanliness, decor, and location was fabulous. i will be staying here the next time i visit melbourne

White bed linen, a modern wash basin and 2 green apples on the side table, do not make this a "boutique" hotel. Room safe did not work for 3 out of the 4 days, grouting in bathroom tiles needs replacing.

Bar was closed during our stay which was unfortunate No complaints!

Everything was fine, but the bed was too soft for my liking.

As we commented our the form we were given, we believe a steam iron would of more use than the ordinary iron provided. The noise of the lift operating took a night to get used to. Finally, it would have been nice to know in advance that there is no vehicular access to the hotel. People unable to manage their luggage could find themselves disconcerted at being left on the street unless they are lucky enough to have an understanding driver.

Since leaving the hotel, I received a bill for $8.00 stating that it was for the minibar. We didn't use the minibar at all and feel annoyed that this was deducted from my credit card when we were unable to dispute it. Other than this, we felt that it was a good hotel and we enjoyed our stay.

Swimming pool would be great!

Room keys were not available upon arrival and we had to wait 15 minutes in the "lobby" Shower temperature not constant (very hot and then suddenly cold and then hot again etc.)

Good choice . We enjoyed our stay. Apart from difficulties with the card key everything was first class

the service was generally excellant but on new years day the service was poor, a bit too much partying by that guy It was very spacious and welcoming.

Great location and friendly, professional staff. Rooms were mostly clean but small. Second floor was noisy with cafe, so we asked for another room on another floor. Overall, a pleasant experience.

The hotel was nice enough but beware, our room was advertised as having a king bed but we discovered it was really two single beds pushed together.

The room was quite excellent, although the view was very poor (understandable though as it is in the city centre)

It is in an excellent position in Little Collins St close to trams and shopping facilities. Room was nice, clean and well presented with a good large bed.
