During the course of my five night stay at the Carmana Plaza hotel I reported a lack of heating and hot water three times. Each time I was given a reason for the problem rather than a solution. For example on the first instance I was told that the lack of hot water was due to a lot of other guests all showering at the same time. Apart from the fact that I was attempting to shower at 0600; if this were true then the provision of hot water in a modern 30+ floor hotel shouldn't be dependent on how many people are demanding the service. The staff were friendly enough but I found that information about the hotel and facilities was on a 'on demand' basis (i.e. I had to ask whether a facility existed rather than find the information in any for of, non-existent, information provision in the room).

Finally, and this is probably a Canadian thing, the ticket price for the room was significantly lower than the actual price due to the addition, at check out time, of three different taxes. The price advertised internationally ought to reflect the price you will pay.

Very clean and conveniently located hotel. Staff were courteous and friendly.
