The Southcentre Mall is within the district and just a few minutes away should you feel a bit adventurous wanted to explore the surroundings. The mall has plenty of shopping outlets and restaurants despite having only two floors. Another notable sightseeing location is the Heritage Park.
South Calgary - South Calgary is a dense residential area covering southern part of Calgary where most major attractions are. The Macleod Trail enters the town from north and exits south joining Highway 2, binging in visitors straight to the southern part of town. In here, you'll find many major tourist attractions such as the Calgary Stampede, Calgary Zoo, and also many shopping arcades such as the Southcentre Mall.
Signboards here can be quite confusing so do ask around for directions, and since most of the buses do pass by this area, you can always travel anywhere in Calgary and come back easily. The well known Spruce Meadows Equestrian Park is just nearby, having about three races weekly and you can watch too but you'll have to buy the tickets early, not to mention quite pricey too.
Surrounded by vast residential parks, the area has a serene and tranquil environment with many public parks and tracks for leisure walks. South Calgary suits well vacationing families and business travellers who prefer peaceful and quiet environment for meeting s and such.
