hotel was in great location, breakfast was excellent, staff were great, amenities were good, bathroom was a bit old,no exhaust fan,but clean and comfortable,pillows werea bit hardfor my liking but getting accomadation on what if at a great rate I really had no problems.

Excellent location as Hilton Cairns is just opposite the Reef Casino and less than 5 mins walk to the Reef Terminal and to the start of the Esplanade. Rooms are large and clean but my room had a musty smell when we first opened the door to the room. Also, the view from my room faced the construction site next door and the sea view was covered by the trees i.e. not much of a sea view. Also, papers were not delivered every day. Moreover the doors to the rooms are thick and heavy and the sound of the neighbours' doors slamming was very irritating throughout the night.

My wife and I enjoyed our stay in the Hilton Cairns in August. The location is perfect, at the end of the Esplanade. We took advantage of the pool and spa, and I felt that the security measures which were in place (ie card swipe for doors/lifts etc) were a feature. On the down side, we did have an abundance of termites in our bathroom when we arrived, but a quick call to the front desk, ensured that this was sorted immediately. Finally, we enjoyed the vast array of items on offer in the breakfat buffet. I would definitely return, if I come back to Cairns.

Our floor seemed rather run down ie the garden lacked appeal and maintenance of the exterior could be improved (rusting drainpipes and peeling paint). I would have expected a higher standard from a quality hotel. Loved the choice of pillows!

A book belonging to BENTLEIGH SECONDARY COLLEGE WAS LEFT/MISLAID PROBABLY AROUND THE POOL OR LOBBY. MAY BE THE ROOM. ON PHONING TO LOOK FOR IT NOBODY WANTED TO HELP AND EVERYBODY SPOKEN TO FOBBED OFF THE QUERY AND PUT ME THROUGH TO SONEONE ELSE EQUALLY UNHELPFUL. THE CLASSIS RUN AROUND!
