Rooms are large and clean but my room had a musty smell when we first opened the door to the room. Also, the view from my room faced the construction site next door and the sea view was covered by the trees i.e. not much of a sea view. Also, papers were not delivered every day. Moreover the doors to the rooms are thick and heavy and the sound of the neighbours' doors slamming was very irritating throughout the night.

The location is perfect, at the end of the Esplanade. We took advantage of the pool and spa, and I felt that the security measures which were in place (ie card swipe for doors/lifts etc) were a feature. On the down side, we did have an abundance of termites in our bathroom when we arrived, but a quick call to the front desk, ensured that this was sorted immediately. Finally, we enjoyed the vast array of items on offer in the breakfat buffet. I would definitely return, if I come back to Cairns.

I would have expected a higher standard from a quality hotel. Loved the choice of pillows!

MAY BE THE ROOM. ON PHONING TO LOOK FOR IT NOBODY WANTED TO HELP AND EVERYBODY SPOKEN TO FOBBED OFF THE QUERY AND PUT ME THROUGH TO SONEONE ELSE EQUALLY UNHELPFUL. THE CLASSIS RUN AROUND!
