Malaysia Airlines System (MAS) operates daily flights via Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) to Kota Bharu or Kuala Terengganu. Flight time is approximately 45 minutes. For either airport, Taxi and Limousine Services are easily available to Kuala Besut Jetty. Kota Bharu Airport is recommended as the journey to Kuala Besut Jetty is shorter.

Keretapi Tanah Malaysia (KTM) operates via Kuala Lumpur Sentral (KL Sentral)/ Johor Bahru/ Singapore to Tanah Merah or Wakaf Bharu. Tanah Merah is one of the stop recommended as the journey to Kuala Besut is shorter, approximately 45 minutes.
