We requested a ground floor - big mistake! I think it was a requirement for everyone to wear high heels as they clomped past our room. We only stayed the one night and when we went to shower in the morning we could not as the plunger to change from a bath to shower was broken - so a bath was in order. To the hotels credit the staff at the front desk were extremely pleasant and when told of my concerns immediately offered up coupons for the breakfast buffet and the managers business card for a higher level of venting if required. The food was good but I would not have paid $17.95 for a breakfast buffet. We were in Calgary to attend a production at "Stage West" so the location was excellent. The room we were in was an above average hotel room. We would probably stay there again but definitely not on the ground floor.

Very nice hotel. Our room was large with a lovely view.
The dining room was very nice with good food but was a little too cool to be comfortable in. We had to return to our room to collect a jacket.
It is almost essential to have a vehicle as the hotel is some distance from the city centre.
