Laguna Redang Island Resort is located on one of the best beach on the island called Pasir Panjang. The closest town to Laguna Redang Island Resort is Kuala Terengganu on the mainland. You can get to the island either by air or road. Ferry services to the resort depart from jetty which is around 1 hour away by road from KT. Berjaya Air flies from Kuala Lumpur or Singapore direct to the island. You will also need to take a short land and ferry ride from the airstrip to the resort. Land and ferry transfers need to be booked in advance as there is no regular service.Pulau Redang offers an astounding variety of marine life. 'Barracuda Rock' located northwest of Batu Barat provides close encounters with this well known fish, whilst the reefs to the west of Pulau Chipu has some of the largest concentrations of anemones found anywhere. Mini Mount is a favorite day & night dive site in Redang. This reef is home to angelfish, parrotfish, wrasses, groupers and other reef dwellers. Comprising mainly hard corals, there are patches of colorful soft corals, sea whips and sea fans. Nocturnal creatures like crabs and eels, along with urchins provide a change of scene in night dives. Try the northern & southern tips for scenic reefs that slope from about 4 metres to 20 metres to the sandy bottom. You will encounter rays, sea cucumbers and sea stars, in addition to different varieties of fish foraging for food among the hard corals. "Big Mount", located at about 100 metres from the northern tip, provides interesting encounters with batfish and barracudas, and the occasional whale shark.
