The hotel room is clean and everything works fine. Need to walk quite a distance to jonker street.The carpark lift seems abit old, feel kinda weird esp at night, we can see all the unwanted junks placed on the 3rd floor carpark ,doesnt bother us much anyway. The swimming pool staff was not helpful. Other than that, everythings seems ok.

If you used to stay this hotel 5-10 years ago and told yourself not to go back to this hotel in the future. Now you don't worry, as they have change their bed- it is firm and comfortable, their blanket- no longer the dirty dusty ones, new clean nice comforter blanket. Therefore, it is fine to stay their now but if the price to increase more than RM200 then forget it.

Overall the hotel and staff is good, as the location is in the town, so if you drive in and out to hotel will be very heavy traffic and if you want to walk if will be a distance........ another time is the swimming pool is open from morning 7 to night 7, it will be better can extend to 9pm as will have more time to swim......

When we request some basic stuff, such as tooth brush, toothpaste, slippers, there are some charges need to pay.... We feel very disappointed with this while other hotels no need to charge us. And we thought that the hotel rooms are quite old, I think the re-new decoration is needed. (For example, the bathroom, or furnitures..) Moreover, breakfast can be included while other hotels include the breakfast every morning.

My stay was a pleasant one. The staff was helpful and attentive at all times. We arrived 2 hours before check in time and were allowed the use of the room immediately. As I booked the room based on the promotional rates, I cannot complain that my husband and I were booked into a twin double room. anyway, I did not raise the matter to the reception. The hotel is located at a very convenient location, close to all the tourist spots in the city. Practically everywhere we wanted to visit were within walking distance. It was also convenient to sample the delicacies special to Malacca. All in all, it was an enjoyable stay.

Although we were given a twin-sharing room (instead of a double room, as the hotel were full), the rooms are of a good size, and are clean and comfortable. The hotel staff are friendly and courteous. My husband accidentally left a piece of his clothing at the hotel, and the hotel called to inform us about it, and asked if we would like them to send it back. Unfortunately, as they needed us to pay the shipping charges to their JB bank account, we were not able to do so because of logistics reasons. Anyway, the staff promised to keep the clothing with the hotel till we pick it up during our next visit. The location of the hotel is off the city centre, but within walking distance to the attractions. The hotel's recommendations for meals were fantastic (good food at affordable prices).

Once I'm arrived at Reception informed the receptionist my booking of the room. Upon completed the signing the document then I ask them is there any breakfast coupon. He told me since I'm booking through internet there will be without breakfast. So I did check through the room which I booking and found that It is two single bed room. So I told them should you change for me to King Size bed as I check in with my wife. Just simple reply sorry sir you are booking with two adult this is the best we give you. My question is If I'm booking through the internet there will be non changing of bedding and no breakfast included? Thank You.

Nice hotel with good facilities. Especially liked the gym and the sauna. Good makan just opposite the hotel.

This was the 2nd time we stayed in this hotel. Our first was many years ago. Nevertheless, we found that the room chagre was very fair, given the festive season.

The reception staff was very efficient and friendly.

The breakfast was so so since we did not have to pay for it.

If you are driving, beware of the driveway as it is rather narrow when 2 cars are approaching each other on opposite position.

We found the Bayview value for money, nice and clean, and handy to amenities, we would go there again.

The lights in the room were very dim and most of the lights were not working eg lights at tea table, outside the bathroom, in the closet, near the windows (curtain).. Remote control for the aircon also spoilt.

The breafastdoes not provide for vegetarian. Suggest 2 or 3 simple dishes everyday like plan porridge with pickers etc and vetarian curry with roti canai . Thanks. The bed is a bit soft, the sofa at the side feeling moist with a little smell. The bathe basin is old. The others in the room are good.

The breakfast provided needs to be improve. Its really sucks. The food is extremely terrible. I paid RM20+ for my mum and its not worth my money. Should charge only RM10. If City bayview wants to charge that price for breakfast, please improve on food quality and choices. Frankly, most of the food tasted like leftovers. Very oriental. Furniture well maintained. Well done!

We encountered a bit of shock when the hotel lift suddenly stopped but fortunately we were not stranded. The window handles were too loose to be safe when windows were closed. I believe by now they have been fixed.

An excellent value-for-money hotel. The recent renovations are exceptional.

It is accessible and conveniently located. Security of the carpark could be improved. I was a little surprise with it's cleanliness. Generally, hotels in Malacca are poorly maintained. But this one did well. Keep up the good work! Continue to keep to with it's good work on cleanliness. Thanks to the housekeepers.

The room seems to have a musty smell. It would be good to air the room more frequently.
