The Bay Hotel Cape Town is the perfect base from which to explore the wonders of the Cape and is within easy reach of its most celebrated scenic attractions. The up-market suburb of hotel has a typical village atmosphere and is home to some of the trendiest restaurants and bars and one of the most beautiful beaches in Cape Town. Local life is casual and in the evening residents and holidaymakers can be found enjoying sundowners at the many sidewalk bistros and restaurants on the strip.
Route to The Bay Hotel Cape Town:
Fro Airport/N2, follow the road signs towards Cape Town (N2 highway). The N2 highway continues for about 20 minutes, until reaching the mountain and the city beyond. Drive up a long hill with a large cream building on the right (which is Groote Schuur Hospital). On top of the hill, the road divides into Eastern Boulevard (N2) (three lanes to the right) and De Waal Drive (two lanes to the left).
Follow the Eastern Boulevard (N2) sign. Continue driving on this road until you come to a set of traffic lights. You will see the entrance to the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront complex on your right and the Cape Town Convention Centre on your left. Do not turn into the Waterfront but continue straight to the next set of traffic lights. You will see the Cullinan Hotel and the Holiday Inn on your left. Continue straight up this road, which becomes Buitengracht Road. Follow this road through Cape Town and up the hill until it becomes Kloof Nek Road. You will see signs that indicate the Table Mountain Cableway is further up the road.
Continue past the Cable Way turnoff, following signs for Camps Bay. Drive along the top of the hill (the mountain is called Kloof Nek) until you see a turnoff for Geneva Drive. Follow this winding road down the hill until you reach The Drive - turn right and follow the road until you reach The Meadway - this leads directly to the public parking area at the back of The Rotunda.
